Happy late Valentineā€™s Day!! Love yā€™allā€”well, some of yā€™all (you know who you are šŸ¤Ø).

This week was killer. On Monday, we literally had nowhere to go since the church decided to get its carpet cleanedā€”honestly, so annoying. Anyways, we couldnā€™t be outside because it was like -20 degrees, so we went to our leasing office and played some games. We played this game called Scum, and honestly, I was cracked at it. I donā€™t know how because Iā€™ve literally never played before. It just comes naturally for me, I guess. šŸ’ā€ā™€ļø

We went to do some service becauseā€”I donā€™t know about yā€™allā€”but Iā€™m actually a very service-oriented person. šŸ«  Some people might even say I care too much. Anyways, we went to the food donation center to organize everything, and itā€™s pretty fun. The elders in our district go with us, and they play music, which honestly makes it sooo fun. While we were there, one of the elder companionships was on exchanges, so our zone leader was with us. (I never spell his name correctly, so Iā€™m just going to put Elder Risher and hope I got it right.) Well, he was there, and while we were there, it started snowingā€”but like, the type of snow you can blow away with your mouth like dust. And they literally parked us! We were so mad because it wasnā€™t even bad. So, we all hated on Elder Risherā€”it was pretty funny. While driving away, we forgot to give them the vinegar they asked for (donā€™t ask why), so I chucked it at their car. I used my left hand, so it landed on the ground and literally exploded. Haha, had us all dead!!

Yā€™ALL, WE HAD ZONE CONFERENCE!! "You know what it is, now watch me whip, watch me nae nae." I donā€™t know why that song popped into my head, but I decided to include it in the letter. We drove an hour down to good olā€™ Puebloā€”literally so sketchā€”but road trip! I made my comp try a HubChub, and we started our adventure! We got there, and I saw my bestie, Sister Piutauā€”live, laugh, love her to death! ALSO saw Sister Marley, who is literally a hater just because I didnā€™t email back one timeā€¦ mhmmmmmm. JK, love her. We had a really good zone conference from our mission leaders.

Yā€™ALL!! RYAN IS POPPING OFF!! We havenā€™t even taught the Word of Wisdom yet, and bro said he stopped drinking alcohol and smoking two weeks ago just because he felt like he should. He also said heā€™s never been happier since meeting us. I invite the four people who probably read this email to literally drop to their knees right now and say a prayer for Ryan to get baptized. (Nana, you donā€™t have to get on your knees.) I beg of yā€™all!! He is literally amazing! In our last lesson, he made us cookies, and we talked about the tree of life and holding on to the rod of iron. I had the strongest impression to invite him to pray about a baptismal dateā€”so fingers crossed! šŸ¤ž

I was humbled this week! (Well, when am I not? šŸ§) We were meeting with this older lady, and she grabbed my hand and said, ā€œI donā€™t think you should wear that pink sweater anymore.ā€ It had me deadā€”the fact that she had enough courage to say that! I mean, I donā€™t blame her for speaking her mind. But I kindly thanked her for her honesty and opinion. Me and my comp got in the car and just started dyingā€”it was crazy!!

We literally had the best Valentineā€™s dinner, yā€™all!! The Schlosser family fed us, and Sister Schlosser popped off! Girl went all out! She said she heard my middle name was Valentine, so she just had to decorate. It was the cutest thing ever!! šŸ„¹

Also, Iā€™ve been coughing recentlyā€”tell me why a dad in my ward literally went out of his way to show me a video of Gollum from The Lord of the Rings laughing and said, ā€œThatā€™s what you sound like.ā€ 

Hereā€™s a spiritual thought for yā€™all:

ā€œAnd when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.ā€

I know what yā€™all are thinking: ā€œLexi, why did you include the most famous verse that everyone knows?ā€ Well, I wanted yā€™all to read it in a way that applies to our prayers. Who here thinks their prayers are repetitive? šŸ™‹ā€ā™€ļø Yā€™all are not alone. Sometimes we fall into vain repetitionsā€”praying for food to nourish and strengthen our bodies, and then opening our eyes to a Dr. Pepper and cupcake. I invite yā€™all to take the time to go into a closet and say a sincere prayer. I have seen such a difference in my life since I have. We have to have a sincere heart and real intent!!

I'm that good!! We partnered up with the district and we were playing winners and at the last match it was Elder Grunke and me against Sister Simmons and Elder Crevelati. Let me tell you how competitive this game was. Sister Simmons played tennis in highschool so she was already good, and then I have my natural pickle ball talent that came out of no where, so this game was fierce.
