Hopefully this sends, the service sucks in this town. So if we want good service, we have to sit outside the church, lol.
Small town life has been good!! Still getting to know the wards, which is harder than I thought ‘cause everyone's related. They’re either a Crowther, Canty, or Caldon-like so many of them, y’all, it’s crazy!!
Before anything—Happy Mother’s Day!! Y’all, I won for best mom, I swear!! She's the best!! Even though she was mid-Sunday nap when I called her yesterday—I still love her!!

Valley girl🤠🫡 Sanford Colorado May 2025 |
We drove to Pueblo for Zoco and y’all, the craziest story. We got there a little early, so we decided to drive to a gas station to use the bathroom. We’re about to get on the main road, waiting at a stop sign, and y’all someone literally rear ended us. It was crazy! We look back and it’s this sweet little old lady. She comes up to the window, I roll it down, and she goes, “Oh my, y’all are all so young and wearing pretty dresses. Are you guys nuns?”
Had to break it to her that there’s no Sound of Music in this car. She then says, “Okay, see y’all,” and proceeds to leave! So I get out and told her she has to fill out this form since this is a church owned vehicle. And y’all I thought we time traveled or something because there wasn’t even a scratch on the car. It was crazy, because it was so loud when she hit us.
We waited with her to fill out the form and we prayed with her such a sweet old lady. Of course, this story had to be told during Zoco miracle time!! Because man the Lord protects His servants 🙏.

Love my comp!! Sanford Colorado May 2025 |
On the way home, we might have been doing some a cappella Taylor Swift. Somehow we endedup behind the elders and they were literally going in and out of lanes, so I feel like I’m the best driver in the mission. I know my comps would all agree. 😏
Also y’all at Zone Conference we sang Gethsemane and A Child’s Prayer and man... those songs hit so different when us missionaries sing them. The Spirit was unreal!! I know this is cringe but y’all... it makes you think how these moments only happen once. It’s so sad. I truly love being a missionary—it’s so fun!!

Country sunsets 🙌 Sanford Colorado May 2025 |
We don’t tract here because every house is a member or someone we used to teach, so we do a booty load of stop bys, and y’all there was a rope swing!! So we decided to stop by, share a little message, and told them if they see two sister missionaries swinging on their rope swing... it wasn’t us, lol! That was awesome!!
We were walking and y’all—I kid you not—these two big Neapolitan Mastiff dogs (like I swear they were 300 pounds) came running up to us. One literally knocked me over and was on top of me. Probably the worst experience, y’all!! Then it slobbered all over me—it was the worst!!
The owner, who was a member, came up and felt so bad. He let us in to get cleaned up. But y'allI don’t even know how to describe how big these dogs are. They’re like baby bears—it was crazy!!

Okay but like isn't this an esthetic? Sanford Colorado May 2025 |
Honestly, I love small town life. These people really care and are so sweet!! Sanford is the coolest!! I love them cows!! 🐄
Here’s a little spiritual thought for y’all:
From Alma 57:21:
"Yea, and they did obey and observe to perform every word of command with exactness; yea, and even according to their faith it was done unto them; and I did remember the words which they said unto me that their mothers had taught them."
I can’t tell y’all how much I love my parents!! My mom is someone I look up to constantly—trying to become more like her, because she’s the most Christlike person I know!!
There was this story in sacrament about a kid who was following his mom all day. She was getting frustrated and told him to go outside and play. But he said, “Mom, I just want to follow you.” She asked, “Why?” And he said, “Because in Primary they told us to follow in Christ’s steps, but I can’t see Christ—so I follow you.”
That’s how my mom is for me. I love you!!
Love y’all!! Yeehaw!! 🤠
XOXO,
Sister Kimball
