We back with another email. I don't wanna brag but I haven't missed a week of writing these since starting this whole mission thing. I mean I am kicking and screaming when I do, cause I hate writing these, but I know how much the fans need to know what's happening in good ol' Sanford, Colorado. 

This week has been windy and y'all I hate the wind.  It sucks, like literally, with these dirt roads. The dirt just goes straight into my eyes. But I'll stop complaining. Someone told me an old wives tale that once the snow melts from the mountains the winds stop, so just keep praying🙏 . For real though, I love Sanford i guess y'all could say this town is growing on me, haha. 

We had a super cool miracle on Tuesday.  So after District Council we pulled up to Subway and most of the people working there are members in one of the wards we are serving in. Well, this kid Bryce that works there is like 17 and super cool. We ended up seeing Bryce a bunch that day cause we pull into the church and there he was in his front lawn. We then decided to do  personal study later cause of how tired we were, and we knew if we did it now we would def fall asleep while reading the scriptures. So we came back to our house to crack open the scripts and lock in. When we heard someone mowing our lawn. Sis Christensen comes in and says, "You won't believe who's mowing our lawn!" I look out the window and there's Bryce mowing our lawn so we put our shoes on and went outside to talk to him. I don't know anything about Bryce but I do know what the spirit prompts me what to say sometimes. So I asked Bryce if he plans on serving a mission. He then looks at me and says, "We'll I don't even go to church."

Now I didn't know he was less active and he then precedes to tell us he hasn't been to church since he was 12, and I asked why.  He then says "Well I work, but honestly, that's an excuse." Then he says, "Well, I have one question for you, what's the point of going to church when I could work instead, and make money?"  Little did he know what he just got him self into. Me and sister Christensen then bore very strong testimonies of the reason we go to church. And the joy we feel when we are close to Jesus Christ. Now I don't know what Bryce felt, or what he even got out of it, but I do know the way the spirit boldly testified to us of what to say. We then let Bryce continue mowing our lawn, and we went about our day. 

A couple days later, we had some awesome street tacos with Bishop Peterson who's over Bryce's ward!! We told him and his wife the amazing miracle we witnessed with Bryce. Bishop Peterson then starts to tear up and tell us that Bryce actually called him Tuesday night saying he wants to go to FSY. Bishop Peterson was shocked cause he didn't even know Bryce knew what FSY was, but quickly went and made a few phone calls. Since registration closed he had to pull some strings. But Bryce is going to FSY. Y'ALL this shows how God truly has his hand in all of our lives.  If Sis Christensen wouldn't have felt prompted to say we should wait to do personal study it wouldn't have happened. If I didn't feel the strong urge to talk to Bryce it wouldn't have happened. There are little miracles we can receive as we listen to the promptings from the spirit, which don't even feel like a promptings.. It was just an amazing experience that this kid can go and strengthen his testimony!

Well, other than that this week as been chill!! We have been doing so many stop bys recently since no one likes to respond to our texts haha!! But y'all the cattle are leaving 😭

They are going to the mountains for summer, so I'm honestly so devastated. But y'all they are partying up here cause they are so excited they don't have to take care of them until fall ahha!! 

Y'all the coolest thing happened!! So we have a a bunch of Canty's in this little town so I have texted a bunch so we can come over and share a message with their family and get to know them. We had a lesson set up with some Canty's and we pull up to find out this couple is 92 and 90 and they are the original Canty's. Like all the other ones trace back to them, so it's literally insane. And they have this picture in their house of all the kids, and the grand kids, and the great grandkids, and the great great grand kids. They all got together for a picture like 2 years ago and literally crazy how many people there were. Plus when they get together they can't gather in one house anymore.  They have to use the church gym. Plus y'all the 92 year-old, Brother Canty, ain't even the original to live in their town. It was his dad before him who actually settled here, and he was an only child, so every single Canty is from him, which is insane to me. Also he was a sealer so these kids are literally sealed to him and her. It literally just amazes me 😱 

We also helped one of the 1st counselors in one of our wards update his tools pic cause I said he kinda looked like a plumber in it haha. He showed me the new pic on Sunday, it was pretty funny.

Anyways, I gave two talks this Sunday for two of my wards, but don't think I'm an under achiever. I was going to do 3 but 3rd ward wanted us to wait one more week cause they're getting a new Bishop haha!! So me and Sis Christensen gave two standing ovation talks!! And y'all we didn't use the same one, we actually gave different talks for each ward just in case someone decided to stay for extra church. Honestly, we did pretty good had the congregation in tears agag!! Okay I may be exaggerating just a bit! 

We knocked on this ladies door and her dog came out trying to attack us. Maybe one of the scariest moments of my life. The owner came out and saved us, but I looked at my comp and we both had our dog spray loaded and ready. It was pretty funny. 

Ok sorry for the short email, and y'all I also took no pics this week but I did look gorgeous, so i feel bad for y'all ahah!! Jk, but I'm hit y'all with a little spiritual thought!!

In one my talks, I talked about repentance and the covenant path!! I love this quote by Brad R Wilcox!! 

"The miracle of the Atonement is not just that we can live after we die but that we can live more abundantly (see John 10:10). The miracle of the Atonement is not just that we can be cleansed and consoled but that we can be transformed (see Romans 8). Scriptures make it clear that no unclean thing can dwell with God (see Alma 40:26), but, brothers and sisters, no unchanged thing will even want to."

We have an amazing gift given to us by the Son of God!! This gift is Repentance! Repentance literally means change. We are here on earth to become more like Him!! Y'all I truly love how many chances we get with Christ cause he doesn't expect us to give up, but to try and try again!!

Collins: Ok so I talked to a girl who's 11 and she just told me all about Bubbles haha 

Capri: Literally I'm right there with you when it comes to naps. 

Kash: Why are there so many songs about rainbows? And what's on the other side?

Reese:  Someday we'll find it, that rainbow connection!!

Miles:  I'm also a Lucas Scott fan somedays, but Nathan is up there!!
