 Hey, y’all!! Hope everybody's thinking about their fav sister missionary --> if the answer was Leah, you're wrong 🙅‍♀️

Two P-days ago the district tie dyed shirts and everyone had to wear their shirts on P-day the following week, and that's what we did. It was giving major girls camp vibes 🏕👧 but it was fun I guess. Thank goodness no one saw us though. 🙏 Taught the district how to double Dutch that didn't really work out well people kept getting whipped in the face by the rope lol, but it was funny. Then they brought out this game called unicorn. Let me tell you how dumb this game was. Everyone was like, "Sister Kimball, just wait, it gets better." Well, they lied, and it never did. There were so many rules, and I feel like some were being made at that moment. We hitted up Bdubs cause it was Elder Reynolds last pday, so he got to choose where we ate. Let me tell you how spicy these wings were 🥵 The waiter comes over and was like, “Are they too spicy?” of course I lied straight through my teeth saying they are perfect, while dying, so he went and got me some water. I made it out alive, thank goodness 😁

We had a lesson with this couple, and they are both about 95 years-old. So I asked them some questions cause they are 5th generation members, and they won't let you forget it☝️😁, but fast forward to Sunday. My comp and I were teaching the Sunday school class. We were all having a good spiritual conversation, and Sister Edwards raised her hand and said, "Sister Kimball asked me an interesting bold question the other day that made me start thinking..." Me internally thinking, where she's going with this. 🧐😬 She continues, "she asked because of my age, and you're close to stepping through the veil. Have you thought about what you're going to say?" I know what y'all are thinking."Sister Kimball is very insensitive." Ummmm no, she rephrased how I asked her, and made it seem so harsh. The whole room was laughing, but she didn't lie. I did ask her since she will be going through the veil soon. What's the first thing she will say? But y'all gotta agree with me. This is a very valid question. Anyways, Sister Edward’s and I are homies, and there's no beef, she just said she thinks I'm a cute sister missionary👵🤏 and for a sec there, I thought she was about to pinch my cheeks .😬 She also told me all about her grandson who's about to come home from his mission and then I had to break it to her that I still got a long ways to go, haha.

Did y'all know that since Colorado is in the mountains, it's closer to the sun? Well, that didn't occur to me. I'm thinking I'm from Texas, and I don't need sunscreen 💁‍♀️ I made my comp sit outside because I wanted to get tan because it's summer, and I shouldn't have to be pale. We were doing some phone work and I guess we were out there too long cause now my legs are toasted.🍅 It did not help that later that day we had a lesson with a member who is a doctor and she had me sit down and she gave me a lesson about how to use sunscreen👩‍🏫🧴☀️🚫! But thank goodness we went there. She gave me some Aloe, so it's not hurting that bad anymore.🙌

Went to a members house for  SOME BBQ😱😁 they wanted to show us their crib so we took a tour and they have this huge movie theatre screen in the basement. They told us we can come here for general conference whenever so hopefully I'm in this area until October 🤞🏻.  They also wanted to show us the sound system on this thing so the member says how he's gonna break the rules for a second and this man straight up puts the intro to The Greatest Showman.  I mean I ain't complaining 🤷‍♀️ but this man was right, the sound system on this is crazy. The intro song hit so hard!! His wife made him turn it off cause she can tell it made us miss life for a sec haha. But it's still pretty cool. I'm def coming back to watch The Greatest Showman on that thing post mish!!

While at the same members house we got to meet their dog. They have this dog but it's more like a horse cause it's huge. I asked if it would be ok to ride it, and they said no. But this dog was trying to eat our food and this member has a spray bottle for it when it does something bad. BTW the dogs name is Bella (sorry sis) but Bella was being bad (kinda ironic).  Then the member then sprays the bottle at Bella and the nozzle was facing the wrong way, and she sprayed me right in the face. Had everyone dying laughing haha!! 😑 

We were at another members house the other day for some dinner! And let me tell you about their son Henry who is the most unhinged, funniest kid you will every meet. He's about 3, but we walked in and this kid then tells us to sit down like a drill Sergeant. Then he brings out his iPad that is playing Elmo and educates me about Elmo! It was a pop quiz! Then the mom brings out some corn bread and this kid grabs MY CORNBREAD and shoves it in his mouth, and this whole time I'm justing dying laughing!!

SUNDAY was great, well except Sister Wilkins and I were finally on time to greet people and remember we have 8:30 am church, so we were rushin!! But we show up, and the choir is singing and they only have one woman, so they beg us to join.  I have always been told I was tone deaf by my older sister and her friend Taylor Bini mmmmmhmmm😑.  Yeah I'm still salty about that! But they begged us so I sang in the choir for church💁‍♀️. We sang My Country Tis of Thee🫡, and our friend Monique was there and she loved it.  She said we were the best ones up there, and we sounded like angels. So yeah, who's tone deaf now?🧐

We were at one of my favorite inactive families homes the other day. And I decided to be bold and be like, if you want to see blessings in your life and if your goal is going to the temple,  then y'all have to go to church!! THEY COMMITTED to coming to church, soooo yay for miracles, so excited for them!! 

If y'all read any parts of this letter read this one!!

 

Ok, soooo I had a cool experience with our friend Monique.  So we just taught her the “Big Three” which is Word of Wisdom, Law of Chasity, and Tithing. And she was talking about how hard it was to give up sweet tea and coffee. And I just got prompted to share a story about a friend from highschool who joined the church, and truly a big inspiration to me and my family. I also shared how sweet tea is a BIG thing in the south, and how my friend had to give that up to be able to make that covenant with God.  I shared how his testimony and his determination to be a member of the true church was greater than his love for sweet tea. And how God asks so little of us and he has way more things in store for us. Well this whole lesson was very spiritual, and the next day we were at church for district council. All of the sudden we got this text from Monique saying she told her parents she wanted ro be baptized because of the courage my friend had when he wanted to be baptized. I'll attach the screenshot of that text. But just know that God truly knows us and is putting his hand in each of our lives daily. I know there's a reason why I'm in Eagle Point and I have already learned so much. Just know that God sees you!
