Hey y'all!! To all my missionary friends, does it ever surprise y'all that your a missionary cause I was walking down the street and totally forgot that I have a companion with me!! I pass by a window and see my tag, and it shocks me every time!!😱 or is that just me?
Let me tell you about the most chaotic lesson I've ever had. Let's paint a picture: this is a member family that we meet with every Friday and they have six children under 8 years-old and one will be born in October. So soon seven under 8 years-old. 🚸 But the littlest one, who is about 18 months-old, was throwing this plastic ball down the stairs and I'm watching this happen, like it's in slow mo!! This kid throws this ball and turns out it's not plastic and it shatters everywhere! Everyone is freaking out and I take that as my go to to start the lesson!!!🔮 It was crazy!! What a great way to invite the spirit!!
On P-dy last week we went to a board game store that was giving dungeons and dragons vibe, but half of my district wanted to play this board game that was really in depth, and I'm more of an easy card game girl ✨️💁♀️ The most in depth board game that I would play is monopoly!! So half of us played code names. Which was a lot of fun. It was so hard because my team wouldn't read my thoughts, 😠 but it's fine I guess haha!! Then we played volleyball outside with some of the youth and it was a very interesting game. Let's just say I swear they made up some of rules but it's fine🙄! Can you tell I'm working on the Christ attribute of patience? 💁♀️

What the sign says 🫡 Cottonwood Creek Colorad July 2024 |
Your girl sat on the same couch as Richard G. Scott!! My new claim to fame 🙌
We were at a members house for dinner and this guy is actually a temple sealer, which is pretty sick! I asked him all my questions about the temple. He told us about the time he met President Holland which is dope!!! 😱
Later we went back to the home of the family of 7 children doing some service. We shoveled some dirt all over the trampoline/chicken coop! Yes, you heard me right, trampoline/chicken coop and the kids still jump on it, which is crazy! But we were just shovelin' and diggin' .🤠 Of course we had to have company, so we talked to the kids while we were doing manual labor!! These kids are all blonde and blue eyed - 2 girls and 4 boys. Also they all have Book of Mormon/Bible names and guess who can name them all? Me, which is super impressive cause they all look the same and there's like 100 of them!! They were surprised, but little do they know they aren't the biggest family I've ever seen haha!

Golden hour with comp💁♀️ Cototnwood Creek Colorado July 2024 |
We were at district council and we usually have a goal of how many people we can street contact that week, so last week it was 50, and we actually got 60! I was so motivated to street contact that I convinced everyone we could do 100! Well, we all went out and so far we reached 70 and we still have 4 days left so we changed it to 200!! Which is easy money!🤑 I'm a street contacting boss, and about to hit the streets talking to thousands!!🙌
Funny story, we head to the park, and I kid you not, a car whipped around and stopped rolled down the window and said "Y'all almost look like those Mormons." Well I said, "I don't know what Mormons are, but we are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints." We then had a bomb convo about the gospel and about how mormon is actually a nickname and how we prefer member of the church of Jesus Christ! We talked about the Book of Mormon and he's actually already read it I guess, which so dope!! We were running late for an appointment so we gave him our card and skedaddled out of there!! 🕴 This was literally a seek to expect miracles moment!! I love street contacting🙌😁
Roundin' up them inactives!!! 🤠 So many miracles this week, but we got a call from this inactive member who we've been trying to get in contact with, and he said right when we picked up the phone "what time is church?" We told him it's at 1:30 pm (I know, it's crazy right? 😱) But then he said thank you and hung up before we could say anything,😥 but he came to church!!! Then we stopped by an inactive member and this lady came to the door and she was talking on the phone and she said, "I have to go, it's the sisters" and she has a big smile on her face!! Me thinking this can't be the inactive member because they normally don't react positively when we come by like this😬! Turns out this is actually her mother, who is very active and a temple worker, but she lives in Sweden and is just visiting!! She tells us how her daughter wants to start coming back to church but doesn't know how. Then the mother tells us how earlier she was praying for someone to help her daughter get to church!! And then BAM 💥 we showed up at her door, it was a crazy cool experience!
Two weeks ago when I first got to this area we did stop bys and this was an inactive members house and we knocked and his girlfriend or wife opened the door and basically yelled at us to never come back, and that we're a cult and we hate everyone, blah, blah, etc. She's just speaking lies🧢, but we wrote it down in the area book to warn future missionaries to not come back for a while. Then this last Wednesday we got a text in morning from the member saying how he's sorry about his girlfriend and he's actually breaking up with her and moving out! And how he wants to start coming back to church!!
Then yesterday we knocked on this ladies door turns out she's an inactive member and still loves the church, but her only problem is that she doesn't know anyone!! Which is so easy to work with, so we invited her to the Relief Society garden party and she committed to going!! LITERALLY MIRACLES 😇🙌

Codenames🤪 guess where he's from? Cottonwood Creek, Colorado July 2024 |
This whole week we had a reoccurring theme when it came to the lessons!! My dad being the spiritual man that he is, sent me this video last P-day called The Will of God!! I read the talk that Elder D. Todd Christofferson wrote about it! It talks about a currant bush and how it was making awesome growth snd then the gardener cut it down! The currant bush then says “How could you do this to me? I was making such wonderful growth. … And now you have cut me down. Every plant in the garden will look down on me. … How could you do this to me? I thought you were the gardener here.” the Gardener then responds saying, "Look, little currant bush, I am the gardener here, and I know what I want you to be. I didn’t intend you to be a fruit tree or a shade tree. I want you to be a currant bush, and someday, little currant bush, when you are laden with fruit, you are going to say, ‘Thank you, Mr. Gardener, for loving me enough to cut me down.’” this Gardener went on to join the war but was denied because he was a "Mormon" he was angry so he looked up to God and said, "How could you do this to me?’ I was as bitter as gall. “And then I heard a voice, and I recognized the tone of this voice. It was my own voice, and the voice said, ‘I am the gardener here. I know what I want you to do.’ The bitterness went out of my soul, and I fell on my knees by the cot to ask forgiveness for my ungratefulness. … “… And now, almost 50 years later, I look up to [God] and say, ‘Thank you, Mr. Gardener, for cutting me down, for loving me enough to hurt me.’”
I have been having a hard time recently being a missionary. Evertime I get comfortable and I find joy in the work I get pulled out or a rule gets thrown at me. It's been a hard week feeling discouraged and alone wanting to know why I keep having to leave right when I feel like I found joy. I keep asking Heavenly Father the same question why are you doing this to me, why are you making this so hard for me? I get the same answer wait and see! I know there's a reason why I'm in this particular missuon with these rules, and why I'm in Cotton Wood Creek! I don't know why, but so I will say thank you Heavenly Father for cutting me down for loving me enough to hurt me. I have showed this video a bunch this past week for our members because its true we need to trust in God. It is his will and we need to have that faith! We go through hard times for a reason even though we don't know what that reason is yet!!
I love yall!
