Wow what a crazy week y'all!! It went flyin'!! Let's get to it!

P-day was mid except for the fact I saw my friend Putna at B-dubs I guess her name is Sister Putnam lol! Still crazy someone I know from BYU is in my mish!

Sis J, last minute, got called up to play a duet for a fireside on Thursday, so we had to do some practices with an Elder who plays the Violin! I offered to use my musical talents and play the triangle but they shut me down😢. So I had to just sit and watch them practice their duet. Sister J was hitting them keys but she had to turn her sheet music and it messed her up, so I stepped in as honorary page turner! 💁‍♀️ At the fireside when they performed we had to both go up and wow the turnout was crazy. We had people all the way from the pulpit to the stage in the gym. All eyes were on me to turn the page at the right time, and since I literally have no musical ability at all, I had to have Sis J give me a nod when to turn it. So comp unity right there🙌

After one of the practices though, there was this ward who was having their ward party and I asked this guy dressed up as a clown which ward it was. He said Cordera which was a score cause I knew a fam from Texas that is in that ward!! So I got to say hi to the Cherringtons and I literally introduced myself as Clay's little sister, haha! But that was dope to see people from Texas.🙌 I got to talk to them for a sec about their kids and my mish and it was awesome!!

We had Mission Prep this week and it was for the young men's activity.  Me and my temporary trio (cause we had Sis. Piutau for a day), started to head in and realized there was a force field blocking us from entering cause their was no women there! (As missionaries we have a rule where we need the same gender to be in a room when there is the opposite gender) So Bishop had to run and go get a women member, and he brought back my fav member Sis. Luce. It was a great mutual activity. They did a missionary panel where they could ask any question, and it was dope. 

We had an STL exchange on Wednesday. Me and Sis Wilkins were back again and were in Eagle Point. Felt like I never left Lol. We went to the Ronald McDonald house to clean it and it gave house keeper vibes for real, cause we had a cart and everything. After that, we hit up ChickFila where we ran into a basher, and that was not fun. He told us exactly what our religion believed which is crazy cause you would think as being a member my whole life, and a missionary, I would know, but this guy was telling me things I had no idea I believed in! (Jk He has no idea what we believe.) It was stupid.  Thank goodness God blessed me with patience right then! 😤

We had Zone conference this week and we had Elder Choi from the seventy come and speak to us! It was so fun! I got to see my bestie Sister Simmons who showed up for round 2 of zone conference!! 😁  Elder Choi literally was just bullying the AP's the whole time by having them come up snd answer some questions. It had me dead! What he talked about was super good but the funniest thing he talked about was Preach My Gospel and how we should use it after the mission as well but lol...., to find a spouse! So instead of Preach My Gospel it's Perfect Marriage Guide🤣 

So in Preach My Gospel it tells us how we can find people and then start teaching them But for life after the mission, we can use PMG on how to find people through dating. In Preach My Gospel it teaches us to unite with members and leaders to teach.  But for life after the mish it teaches us how to unite with leaders and members by using referrals for us to date ahaha!! Then for the people we teach we invite but for post mish we propose haha!

It was just the funniest meeting ever. We got very serious and Sister Choi had us stand up and sing a Child's Prayer just us sisters and elders. Then she had the senior couples and mission leaders just watch us and there was no dry eye in the room, it was so spiritual!

Later that night we had the fireside like I mentioned before, but Elder Choi was leading the fireside. He first had all of us missionaries stand up and of course we were in the very back, in the metal chairs. Then he had all of us come up and show the members the missionary dance which is us making an O then Y and the M. Which means "Open Your Mouth", lol so that members can be member missionaries! He then had us all sit in the choir seats in the back of the pulpit and he asked for two sisters to come up. Me and my comp were chillin cause we are more of a sit and watch companionship and not really the participating kind. But then we both accidentally made eye contact with Pres.Kotter and he waved his hand for us to go up! All of the sudden we both jumped up, cause what Pres says, you do! So we go up there and Elder Choi precedes to ask us about marriage after the mission and this is at the pulpit, it was crazy y'all! 💀💍🎤

I forgot to mention we met a false Christ and a Santanist all in one day. It was crazy! The False Christ guy's name is Lord William and he refered himself online to meet with us, and he gave major bad vibes. So we decided to do a phone call with him instead and he basically said that Jesus came and didn't fully fulfill his purpose in taking away sin, so now he has come as the next descendant of David from the Tribe of Judah. Nobody is listening when he tells them he's here (wonder why🙄). He said he and his one true love haven't done any sin since coming together and that they will take away all sin. He also told us some crazy stories of how he was chosen or whatever. I asked if he would ever want to learn more, or read the BoM and he said no cause he doesn't like that it's additional, and he said that he only uses the Bible when God gives it to him. So basically we found this man and then dropped him right after.  It was literally crazy. Some people need to not live in a state where certain things are legal to smoke. 😶‍🌫️🌿 We also met a Santanist. Not that that's exciting, I just don't get why people say that out loud. Lowkey embarrassing!

We had our wards Trunk or Treat this week, and it was soo fun! I can't tell you how many times members told me how dressing up as a missionary is so basic ahha! I got a candy necklace when I first got there so that was dope. Oh and it was combined with like 4 wards so my whole district was there, so that was dope. Sister Lewis (a sister missionary in my district) literally came back from Trunk or Treating with a whole bird on her finger, it had me dead. So we have a new addition to our district. She put the bird on her shoulder and the claws got caught on her sweater and no one would grab the bird cause it kept nipping at them. So I literally had to come from behind and grab the bird off. This bird went crazy, and was flapping it wings, but as a secret bird handler I got it to calm down. My life in the Honduras jungle prepared me for this! 

Yesterday we stopped by Diane's place cause it's her birthday and she turned 90!!!! She had a crown on and everything.  She was so excited cause her son was taking her to the Crab Shack it was sooo cute 🥹

To prepare for Elder Choi had us read this talk by our prophet! Here's my fav quote,

"His gospel is the only answer when many in the world are stunned with fear. This underscores the urgent need for us to follow the Lord’s instruction to His disciples to “go … into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” 

We have the sacred responsibility to share the power and peace of Jesus Christ with all who will listen and who will let God prevail in their lives." 

I just love missionary work and the power behind it. Elder Choi told us how right now us missionaries are all in LTC (life training center) and how everything we use will be used post mish. I also loved how he said Heavenly Father never takes our time for free, so no matter what you're doing, if your serving a mission or fulfilling your calling or even just being a faithful disciple, know that you will receive so many blessings. He also told us how if we don't like something, like it. Learn to love it. 🫳🎤
