Wow what a week! We had the best news come to us recently! Read the email to find out what it was! 😁😏
Sweater weather y’all!! The youth here call me a wimp cause it's below 80 and I'm already done! They told me that it's not even bad yet. 🥶 I have already accepted my fate and I'm prepared to just freeze this whole winter! This has also confirmed that I will not be living any where that snows.
We had our chili cook off for our ward and it was literally a blast! We had a lot of our friends show up and some less actives so I call that a score. A member brought a friend to the cook off. So after we knocked on his window to share a scripture, and his dog went crazy. He opened the door and had a number on me, and in that moment I knew I was already dead! Literally I'm laying on the ground with this dog drooling on me. Scariest moment of my life!

We also had our hoedown throw down for the youth and we went to that cause we had friends going.🤠 They turned on the song from Hannah Montana with the country dancing, and these kids didn't know it. So I felt like a dance instructor for a sec, it was fire!
Saturday was the craziest day ever!! We were at Lilly’s house, who's a less active member and they wanted us to help pull some weeds. So we started pullin’ and working hard. All of the sudden Sis J pulls this bush weed out and wasps swarm, surrounding her! If y’all have see "My Girl" Imagine that!
Also, that movie’s ending scarred me as a kid!
Anyway, she got bitten on her elbow. She said that she swears she had something in her hair, so she had me check and there was literally nothing there. All of the sudden she pulls out a wasp from her hair and I guess it was trapped in her braid. So it stung her multiple times. Poor girl, but she's fine everyone! I have been serving her, so no worries😁💁♀️

After that we had to go drop off some children Book of Mormons for our friend Tina. She opened the door and her dog went sprinting out, and Tina got in her car to chase her down. And we felt sooo bad, and I'm not used to dogs running away. I had one dog growing up who would get out, walk her self, and then wait at the front door for us to let her in cause we were only source of food! May she rest in peace Trixie😢🙌😇
So we got in our car and we were driving away, and we see the dog and she's literally surrounding us like a bear, I swear. She runs off a little so I pop the trunk, to grab a jump rope as a leash, and this dog full on hopped in the trunk of our car. So we basically dog napped this dog! Finally we see our friend Tina and we deliver her dog for her. So funny me and Sis J were doing Cruella D’vil impressions the whole time😈

What else happened on Saturday, well… We visited my bestie Diane! We knocked as usual, and no answer as usual. So I walk in and I see her lying on the ground. I quickly shut the door and I look to my comp and tell her she's on the ground, and my comp asks, ‘well is she dead?’. I was like, ‘nah her eyes are open,’ and my comp then informed me that you can die with your eyes open. So that's when we said a prayer cause we really didn't want to find Diane dead. We then opened the door and there was no movement, yet I went closer and SHE’S ALIVE!
She told us how she fell, and couldn't get back up, then asked what time it was. I told her it was 4:48 and she said, ‘4:28 good they should be delivering dinner soon and then they can help me up🤦♀️!’ I told Diane that we can just help her up! So we positioned her feet under ours and slowly lifted her up since she has really bad knees. She then says, ‘ok I took a laxative last night so it should be kicking in any second.’ She then went into the bathroom, lol and we never saw her again. So we let ourselves out! Not until after Sis J went snooping in her fridge for a ice cube and I really don't think these ice cubes have seen the light of day in 2 years lol cause the ice cubes had frost bite. But after some scooping with a knife we got it out so she could put it on her head for her sting😬 Diane will always keep these mission dayd interesting that's forsure!
"Treat yo self" since we had a rough Saturday especially Sis J cause of her wasps bites we went to whata for dinner since our dinner canceled! And we treated ourselves! And it was freezing out side and it was warm here inside lol!!
On Sunday we went tracting with some a youth from our ward!! Who's a senior this year and so I persuaded her to come expiernce some of the mission life!! So we went tracting and I even had her introduce us and ask to share a scripture and she's a pro! So funny tho cause we were tracting and all of the sudden this drone comes out of nowhere and just kept falling us it was major creep! It gave like major hunger games vibes it's like we were being watched! Or Truman show idk which is worst!
Yall I translated a note I feelin very Jospeh Smith at this point. Jk that's gotta be sacredrealigious. But we gave this member who's in another ward who's trying to give book of mormon to her friend but her friend speaks Portuguese so she reached out to an Elder in our distruct that's from San Paulo Brazil to translate her letter and asked him to write it out but his handwriting gives doctor so he forwarded it to us to write and so I literally had to write this whole letter in Portuguese so I felt very translator like transfer me to Brazil I'm ready hahah!
I had to give a spiritual thought for district council thevother day so I ajd every one study the talk by Brad Wilcox from last conference! This quotes is one my favs he says, "But instead of wondering, “Why can’t I do that?,” you can remember that you are not an ordinary passenger. You are a member of the crew. You have responsibilities that passengers do not have." For us to be trusted we gave to live up to the standards of God not lower God's standards to meet the world. We can't be like everyone else if we wanted to be trusted. I know that God loves everyone but does he trust everyone? No, that's why we have to give up to our potential he wants to try and put an effort in. He doesn't expect us to be perfect that's why repentance is here for us to He meets you where you are and helps us repent and improve. We aren't better than anyone but we expected to help others be better. I just loved this talk!! So please try and be better and when you fail repent and try again he wants to trust you!!
Ok now for the news yall been waiting for we are getting a special guests to visit our mission in two weeks Drum roll please
