EASTER FIT!! 💁♀️ Sandcreek Colorado April 2025 |
This Email Is About to Be a Picture Book |
Okay, I honestly don’t wanna write a long one today, so this email is gonna be hecka short. Plus, I have to pack.
Now y’all are probably wondering, “Lexi, why do you have to pack?” Well, let me tell you—I got transferred!! After 14 months, I’m leaving the Springs!! 😭
Fun fact: our mission goes all the way up to Castle Rock and all the way down to Raton, New Mexico. So it’s kind of wild that I’ve never left the Springs this whole time. I’m excited! Should I wait until next email to tell you where I’m going? 🤷♀️🤭

D2 with senior sisters!! Last district council!! 🫡 Sandcreek Colorado April 2025 |
This week went by so mega fast—it’s crazy!!
Also, EASTER, Y’ALL!! I TRULY LOVE EASTER ON THE MISH. IT HITS SO DIFFERENT.
I’ll save my Easter thoughts for the spiritual thought, but let me tell you about my Easter experience because I know y’all are on the edge of your seats. 😱
We walked into this member family's house, and they told us they had invited more families from the ward to join us. In my head, I was like, “Where is everyone gonna sit?” Then I saw it… the kid's table. And y’all might be thinking, “Oh no, they won’t banish the missionaries to the kids’ table.”
Well, y’all thought wrong. They literally put two 20-year-old girls at the kids’ table. That’s when I felt humbled. Not gonna lie—I made every kid fake laugh like we were having the time of our lives. It was actually pretty fun. I had a blast. I have found my people!!

I got a big silver egg haha Sandcreek Colorado April 2025 |
Y’all. I had one of the coolest experiences I’ve ever had on my mission. We met with our French-speaking friends (okay, they’re not from France—they're from Africa—but they speak French). We brought a member who served his mission in Switzerland and speaks French, but he was like, “I’m rusty—it’s been 30 years!”
Turns out he’s the only French-speaking person in the ward, so he had to do. We walk in and he’s holding this enormous book—a French dictionary! Sister Bangor and I taught so simply so he could translate.
And it was one of the most spiritual lessons I’ve ever been a part of. Even with the huge language barrier, we were able to bring the Spirit and talk about Jesus Christ. It was amazing.
Sister Bangerter got revelation that she needs to learn the First Vision in French, and I… got told to start writing in Spanish So that was funny.
We’re so excited for Yvonne and Karen—they’re super interested in learning about our church, and it’s SO exciting!!!!!

Me looking like an egg with this slick back hahaha Sandcreek Colorado April 2025 |
Y’all, Ryan is going through it hardcore right now. Honestly, it’s up to Sister Bangerter (she’s staying here another transfer), but we might give him a little break. He quit his job, all he does is sleep and play video games, and he’s growing a beard that… is not it.
Not trying to hate on Ryan, but he’s given up on personal hygiene, and it’s just not good for him. He also stopped reading the Book of Mormon and praying. So please pray for Ryan—that he’ll find clarity, realize this path isn’t good for him, and hopefully get baptized, read the Book of Mormon, and work on his relationship with God again.

RIP D2 AND BDUBS😭 Sandcreek Colorado April 2025 |
Yesterday we had a little goodbye celebration for one of the elders in our district. After 2 years of serving, he’s heading home to Canada. (That’s unfortunate. Jk no offense, Taylor )
We went to B-Dubs for what feels like the 15th time in my last 2 transfers. It was fun though, and the elder was talking about all the music he’s gonna listen to when he gets home—including Taylor Swift. I thought that was hilarious.
Y’all, I’m a pro guitar player now. I learned how to play a hymn—"Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing"—so yeah, I’m basically ready to tour. Just hand me a guitar and I’ll show you some chords
I might start a band when I get home. Name ideas:
“RM’s” …kinda cringe.
“Disciples of Christ” …even more cringe.
But seriously, I’m so pumped. Bro. Clarke taught me and had so much patience lol. ALSO, I LOVE THE CLARKES. I’M GONNA MISS THEM!!

Then on Friday and Saturday, it SNOWED. Like what?! No snow on Christmas… but snow on Easter and Halloween?? Explain, please. Doesn’t make sense!!

. I LOVE THIS PICTURE OF PALM SUNDAY!! April 2025 |
Y’all, I LOVE Easter so much. Here’s one of my favorite quotes from a conference talk:
"On that Friday the Savior of mankind was humiliated and bruised, abused and reviled. It was a Friday filled with devastating, consuming sorrow that gnawed at the souls of those who loved and honored the Son of God.
Each of us will have our own Fridays—those days when the universe itself seems shattered and the shards of our world lie littered about us in pieces.
We all will experience those broken times when it seems we can never be put together again. We will all have our Fridays.
But I testify to you in the name of the One who conquered death—Sunday will come.
In the darkness of our sorrow, Sunday will come.
No matter our desperation, no matter our grief, Sunday will come.
In this life or the next, Sunday will come."
I LOVE this quote. Sunday does come—because of this gospel!! Please know that!! Y’all are awesome, and I can testify HE IS RISEN!!
LOVE Y’ALL!!! I’ll tell you next time where I’m going… ALSO I’M TRAINING!! 🤪
Xoxo,
Sister Kimball
