Hey y'all,
I know y’all are thinking… Where is Lexi’s google photos link?? Well let's just have a moment of silence for the google photos album. I had to delete it. 😓 So don't worry if you’re wondering where my amazing album is, cause it sadly had to come to an end. But don’t worry I am sending pics with this letter!! BTW I can't respond on Messenger, not even with reactions, so don't think I hate you if I just read it. And sorry, but this letter is about to be a whole essay
Ok, I had to say goodbye to the peeps at the MTC so sad, I’m gonna miss those people so much. They are gonna be the best missionaries and do so great at sharing this amazing gospel. And I'm also the bomb at memorizing principles and saying them as fast as I can, and my group def beat the elders jk, but it was close. I played some ping pong with the DL (district leader) and we did some righteous betting, and it was a close match, but I lost. I had to buy him something from the MTC store. I think he def cheated. Ohh and at dinner I thought I recognized the lady cleaning our table, then we found out she’s actually the Ester from the 2nd floor mural at the MTC, the one we literally would stare at all the time. Crazy.
I’m going to miss my district, they truly have the strongest testimonies. I met with the BYU crew one last time and said goodbye to the peeps. So sad, I love them all I guess. But Camille and Londyn are def questionable jk. 🤣

I finished up packing at like 12:00am and I woke at 2:30am bright and early for the bus ride to the airport, got on the plane, and flew to Vegas. I hit the strip as a missionary jk. I did some slot machines which was fine because what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas 😉. I literally hopped on the plane and the only seat open was in the front between two big buff old guys, so imagine a Sister missionary in bright pink between two big guys. Longest flight ever. Got off the plane and you know that scene from Hannah Montana movie when she gets off the plane and she says "Hello New York!" and then all she sees is farm cause she's in Tennessee? That is kinda how I felt, cause Colorado is not what I pictured. I thought it would be a bunch of mountains and green everywhere, but there's like two mountains and so flat looking. Where I’m at kinda looks like Texas, ahha.

I met the mission leaders and they are super sweet, love them. Got my trainers Sister Simmons and Sister Shauers who are low key the bomb. Super sweet and cool people. The apartment is actually so nice but the owners before us definitely loved their certain herbs. 🍃🤥 So we are trying to get rid of the smell!! My trainers seriously are the best and they are so lit.

Ohhh ok funniest thing cause when people ask me how long I have been serving I say like two days in field, but technically three weeks, and then my comps say nine and six months hahaha. My first Sunday at church the mission prep teacher for the ward, asked me to speak on at mission prep about my mission. I was like “ummm I have been serving for like 2 days”, and he was like, “Exactly, they should hear your MTC experience, and what led you to serve.”
I thought it went great, I told them that the food was great, so I basically lied, but they will find out when they get there ahha. But I really think they liked what I said cause I got tons of questions at the end. Afterward we played this cup game where you try and grab a cup before everyone else cause there's uneven amount of cups. So the person who didn't get one is out, and I won, of course cause I’m not about to take pity on the youth. But they love me, and I love the ward here.

We went door knocking and for people that want know what that is, that's when we knock on doors and we tell them that we’re missionaries and we want to share a message. So yesterday we did that, and it was kinda sad at first cause ten houses in a row didn't answer. I swear I saw someone peaking out the window waiting for us to leave, so I waved and smiled, of course to let them know we are nice. Finally after knocking a bunch this big guy opened the door. He looks like he could have played football I swear, and he was so interested which was so much fun to see. He wants to meet again, we are so excited.
On Sunday it was fast Sunday which means we don’t eat breakfast and lunch to show God that we don’t eat, so we can get blessings 😉. Then at dinner time we showed up at members house for some food. I looked at the table and it was just a salad bar, so your girl was worried. Thankfully, after the salads she pulled out some nachos which was so bosss. I finally broke out of my comfort zone and started cracking jokes with the lady we met for dinner. We were going on and on about the Chosen ahahha she literally is the best.
If anyone knows me I'm not a big fan of animals. Like I can do dogs sometimes but I'm not a fan of cats, like no way. So we showed up to one of our "friends" house (instead of investigators we call them friends). This house had this one cat and idk why but when I showed the cat that like no I don't like u and I'm not gonna pet you. It made it love me more so I tried ignoring it but just kept siting on my lap so Imagine me trying to teach this great gospel and having a cat on me. What an ironic image ahhaah.
The whole ward on Sunday swears I'm related to Spencer W. kimball so instead of denying it over and over, I gave up and be like "oh yeah Great Grandpa I miss him everyday" haha

Also my comps were going on and on about this member they love and so they texted her to see when we can come over and they were like, "Oh we have a new comp, Sister Kimball" and she replied oh tell "Sister Kimball, I'm a former North Staker too!" Which is my stake from home, and I was like wait who is this? They showed me a pic and turns our she's from my hometown but she got married so her last names changed which is soo crazy. Like what a blessing
I was reading the best book ever (Book of Mormon) and in 1st Nephi 21:14-16 its says:
14 But, behold, Zion hath said: The Lord hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me—but he will show that he hath not. 15 For can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee, O house of Israel. 16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.
Just as it seems impossible for a woman to forget a nursing baby, Elder Jeffrey R. Holland explained that it would be even more impossible for the Savior to forget us: “This poetic passage provides yet another reminder of Christ’s saving role, that of protective, redeeming parent to Zion’s children. He comforts his people and shows mercy when they are afflicted, as any loving father or mother would toward a child, but, as Nephi here reminds us through Isaiah, much more than any mortal father and mother could do. Although a mother may forget her sucking child (as unlikely as any parent might think that could be), Christ will not forget the children he has redeemed or the covenant he has made with them for salvation in Zion.
This is so amazing because Christ knows all of us personally so even if you feel like you're alone in this world you not. He has not forgotten you. I just love this talk and scripture so much.

Clay: On our calendar it literally says Clays 22nd birthday, so me and my comps are gonna party hard for u on April 8th.

Bella: I heard you went on like 10 dates last week!!! How were they?
Collins: I don't know the screen time password, sorry ahah.
Capri: Every one here thinks your name is sick, they love it! They asked if you have been on the island of Capri, and I told them that's were we found you! Surprise you're adopted!!
Kash: When is ur mom gonna give you a friend I bet ur bored.
