Ok y'all I'm back with another one! I know y'all have been sitting on the edge of your seats for these every Monday. 

Its been a very interesting week but I'll try and keep this email short and brief.  

Ok P-day last week was fun! We played some volleyball and I showed my district my mad skills meaning we lost haha. On Tuesday it was my 1 month as a missionary so my comps left sticky notes for me everywhere about how amazing I am! And when I say everywhere, I mean everywhere, there's was one in the fridge haha that said "You're cool" haha. 

Ok we have a mission rule where one of us has to get out of the car to help the driver reverse into a spot. I swear its one of the most humbling experiences ever is when your having to back your companion into a spot even though the parking lot is empty. So there's no cars around her but I still had to back her. I swear people are thinking that we can't drive. They are definitely laughing ahha

We did some stop bys and we knocked on this one older ladies door. She first yells "give me a minute." So we wait ,she then opens the door and she sees it's us and her whole demeanor changed. She was like "oh Sisters please come in it's freezing outside." So we did. We walked in and let's just say this lady is a very heavy collector. We sat down on two chairs that were free from the all of her collecting haha. We were about to share our message when she pulled out a folder of papers and she hands me one and says "these are all my poems I wrote. Some of then I wrote in highschool. Here read this one. " I start reading it out loud and I guess I wasn't reading it right, so she took it from me and read the rest. But I guess that didn't hit the way she wanted it to so she reread it again. I guess she thought it was poetry night or something cause she then grabbed another one and was about to start reading it. But thankfully my comp told her we didn't have a lot of time so we started teaching. Usually after we share our message we ask who ever we are teaching if we can do anything for them. This lady actually took us up on our offer and had us find a way past her collecting and she handed us her laundry full of towels and her g's and had us fold them. Me and my comps looked at each other and I guess since we offered we had to fold them. It was crazy.

Speaking of stop bys we did one stop in a very sketchy apartment like there was an upside down cross on the doors and interesting stuff on the floor, so I started singing I am a child of God quietly haha. Then my comps joined in haha cause it was scary.

We went door knocking in the same neighborhood of our next lesson . We were just knocking and after a few we knocked on the door of the guy we were supposed to teach in 30 min haha. He said y'all are here early so we made it seem like we did it on purpose. Which actually worked out cause he fed us dinner but we had another dinner after so thank goodness we went early. 

We went to dinner and the member took us out to eat sushi which was fine but they gave us this soup that didn't look pleasing, so I tried it and it was very hard to swallow. I guess my comp liked it so I pointed at the wall behind the members and said that's such a pretty painting and me and my comp switched bowls, hahaha she's a g.

The next day we went door knocking and there were police cars everywhere and so me being nosey I had my comp pull up to the police car and I asked what happened. I guess there was a shooting which is crazy. So we decided to take the Lord's work somewhere else ahah which was good cause we found someone who wanted to learn more. Which was awesome!

The crazy thing is that isn't the last time we saw police lights this week. We were in the car deciding where to do calls so we just pulled up to a random Wendy's which was crazy cause we saw one of our "friends" I guess she works there. So we sat down and started calling people. A lady then ran up to us and told us to call 911 and that her boyfriend overdosed so we did. And we looked out the window and he was on the ground and was purple, so police and paramedics showed up started doing CPR. We felt useless so we prayed and 5 min later this guy got up and he was alive. The lady thanked us which was super nice. But yeah the guy was fine. The moral of the story is don't do drugs and stay in school kids, cause the next thing you know you'll have three Sister missionaries praying over you.

Later that day we went street contacting and I went to talk to this lady and her boyfriend by myself. I asked if they were interested in hearing a message about Christ. This lady looks at me in the most serious way and says she's pagan and I was huh? She than said that means she's a witch. Literally did not know what to say so I was like oh that's great. So I gave the boyfriend a scripture verse and a pic of Christ. I left as soon as I could cause I didn't want her to pull out any Harry Potter spells or something ahha

Church started off awesome they asked me to say the opening prayer which was fire. Then they started doing the sacrament (where they pass the bread and water around in remembrance of Chirst) so I was about to grab the tray full of water from the deacon (12 year old boy) and he then dropped it right when I was about to grab the handle.i then caught it with my Spiderman skills but still ended up have water spill all over me. I looked at my comps and they were struggling not to laugh. This kid then says sorry and leaves. It was so hard not to laugh ahah. So I was wet for the rest of first hour hahah

First official week in the field was so fun and very interesting haha. This week I really have learned a lot. We had lesson with a guy who has been struggling with reading the Book of Mormon everyday. So I shared this scripture with him from 1 Nephi 11:25:

"And it came to pass that I beheld that the rod of iron, which my father had seen, was the word of God, which led to the fountain of living waters, or to the tree of life; which waters are a representation of the love of God; and I also beheld that the tree of life was a representation of the love of God."

I told him how reading the word of God, the scriptures, will bring him closer to Heavenly Father and the love of God! I know that seems simple but it is.  I know that since I having been locking in and reading the Book of Mormon everyday I have personally felt God's love in my life. So lock in and read!

Bella: I heard y'all are in Utah! You should hit up the dorms and say hi to all my frans

Collins: Your little movies that y'all are making are making me die laughing haah

Kash: I saw that your a pro walker now!! You can basically do a walkathon now.
