Hey y'all! I hope everyone had an amazing week! 

 Before Easter Church bout to have thousands show up!!

Ok first things first we had a lot of our friends and recent converts come to church yesterday!! Probably the fact that it was only one hour, but they came, so yay!!

We have been having reoccurring lessons with the Scott Family who are recent converts but they don't go to church. So we have been encouraging them to come. They have three boys between 12 and 15 and they do track the day before so they use that as an excuse not to go because they are to tired. I introduced them to Sunday naps cause one kid was like church is so early so it's hard to go. I told them that's the best thing about Sunday naps because after church you can just pass out. I think they were convinced because they came to Easter Church and actually sat in the chapel. It was amazing. I talked to them after and they said sorry we missed sacrament but I told them it's ok cause it's happens every Sunday so they can come again. They also let me know that they were late because Ken (15 year old) lost his chain and he couldn't go to church with out his chain. Had me dead 💀 

We also had our friends Jason and Thomas come so that's so exciting, and we are super close to putting them on date!!                      

On Tuesday we went tracting at these apartments and Sister Simmons says we should knock on this one door first. We knocked and what are the odds? It was a members door so we had to act like it was on purpose. She then said that they don't have time for us right now. Kinda awkward. Later that day Sister Boyer took us to dinner and she took us to TORCHYS!! (Y'all jealous Leah and Braden!!💁‍♀️) It was the best thing ever. The Lord knew!!🙏

The next day we went to an apartment complex. We were trying to find this one lady so we just started knocking on doors to see if they are that lady or if they wanna hear a message. I kid you not, we knocked on this door and this lady opened and her dog ran out. She then says "watch out he pees." This dog starts peeing all over Sister Simmons and she's trying to hold him down but it just keeps peeing. And when you think he's done he's starts peeing again. This lady stands there and watches us trying to fight this dog off. The dog starts coming towards me so I started running and I ran up the stairs totally forgetting that dogs can climb stairs. 🤦‍♀️ The dog tried getting me, but I jumped over it! Finally this lady gets her dog and remember this dog is still relieving himself. So it got all over her apartment too. She then locks him up and tells us that when he gets excited he starts to pee. Me and my comps are in utter disbelief at what just happened standing in a puddle of dog pee. Thank goodness we had that complimentary quick quack wipe in our car to hold us over till we were able to go home. 

We have been watching the Restoration movie on gospel library during meal times and honestly it's not bad. Deserves an Oscar honestly had us in tears at the end. My mom will create a link here if ya'll want to watch it!

We were walking around a neighborhood and we saw this guy who was wearing a construction vest. He then see us and says "hi sisters" and we guess he was less active cause he told us he hasn't been to church in forever, so we invited him to Easter Sunday.  He came and sat in the foyer and then we saw one of members got up and went to talk to him, turns out he's her son and they are mad beefing right now, so awkward 😬 

A member gave me Easter baskets for me and my comps like a week ago but we were on exchanges so they never saw them. So I hid them until Easter and I decided to do one of my families Easter traditions. So late last night like 12am I woke up, again no alarm set but relying oh the Lord to wake me up lol. I grabbed the yarn string and hid their Easter baskets tying the string on them.  They had to follow the string to find thier baskets. They were shocked when they woke up this morning and pretty stoked. They def have the best comp💁‍♀️

We had last minute member lesson with this old man yesterday. His name is Brother Tetley but it was so last minute we forgot to find a women to come with us so we are able to meet with him. So we called him up planning to tell him we are gonna have to do a phone call and this man already was at the church waiting for us. So we told him we didn't have a woman with us, so we were going to have to teach him through our car. I felt so bad but it worked out. This man is the sweetest, he works for the cemetery. So he was telling us all about it, then he pulls out a pamphlet about his job and hands it to us. This man keeps talking and keeps giving us more pamphlets to read haha. He then gives us his card saying if we ever wanted a tour of the cemetery to call him. Which I would be down for. He then tells us how he has to wear a  uniform for the job and hands us a printed photo of him. We handed it back to him after looking at it and he says he wants us to keep it. We now have a photo of this man in our car. It had us dead. Pic below!!

Usually if we have just Facebook work and phone calls we go to this places called Amy's Donuts and we are always there haha. Remember that pagan girl I talked about?, well we saw her again and her boyfriend at the donut shop. We started talking to them about their lives and currently they are living in the forest where they built a fort. This guy asks us like tons of questions about what we missionaries do. He asked why we use Facebook a lot to message people cause he gets tons of missionary messages (later that night Sis Simmons found out she actually messaged him last year awk) So we told him that Facebook is actually effective. He asked us more questions and couldn't believe that we pay to do this, and we don't work or have a job while being here. And he said that our passion is crazy. He wasn't interested in hearing our message but we had a good conversation to clear up any false stuff he's heard. We actually all became friends, so now when we saw them the next night we talked to them again. We were in our car and they came up to us and he put his beer pack on the hood of car. It's had us laughing so hard. They are super cool we will get them one day.

After dinner yesterday we saw we had a stop by scheduled for a member, and none of us remembered who put it on the schedule. So we went to this stop by and first it was a gated community so we decided to hop the fence, nah I wish I told them I could, but sadly the trainers said no, but we found another way in. This guy saw us and said to park in his parking spot so we don't get towed. Then we saw it was a locked door and this guy saw us struggling so he said I will toss you down my keys. This guy's a g for real, I can't believe he trusted us. So he tossed down his keys and I caught it. Then unlocked the door and went to this man's door and returned his keys. We then asked if he would to come to church with us one day, and he said he hates crowds. Still the seed was planted haha.

We then went to this ladies door and turns out we were at the wrong building!  It was the next one over, after all that work 🤦‍♀️.... It's fine cause we saw this girl and she let us in to the next building. These building hallways looked just like the ones in the Shining it was creepy. We finally got to this lady's door and she was so shocked on how we got in! We told her the Lord provided the way. She then let us know that this exactly what she needed cause she was having a difficult Easter. She said we answered her prayers which is a pretty amazing miracle. My comps having no idea who scheduled her, realized that this is what the Lord wanted us to do. We are tools and His hands, it was pretty awesome!

That's pretty much it. I did want to share a quote I read from Jeffery R Holland this week about Easter. If anyone needs a good talk to listen to I suggest "None Were With Him." It super good. Again for those who read my blog the link is included here!

"With all the conviction of my soul I testify that He did please His Father perfectly and that a perfect Father did not forsake His Son in that hour. Indeed, it is my personal belief that in all of Christ’s mortal ministry the Father may never have been closer to His Son than in these agonizing final moments of suffering. Nevertheless, that the supreme sacrifice of His Son might be as complete as it was voluntary and solitary, the Father briefly withdrew from Jesus the comfort of His Spirit. It was required, indeed it was central to the significance of the Atonement, that this perfect Son who had never spoken ill nor done wrong nor touched an unclean thing had to know how the rest of humankind—us, all of us—would feel when we did commit such sins. For His Atonement to be infinite and eternal, He had to feel what it was like to die not only physically but spiritually, to sense what it was like to have the divine Spirit withdraw, leaving one feeling totally, abjectly, hopelessly alone. But Jesus held on. He pressed on. The goodness in Him allowed faith to triumph even in a state of complete anguish. The trust He lived by told Him in spite of His feelings that divine compassion is never absent, that God is always faithful, that He never flees nor fails us. When the uttermost farthing had then been paid, when Christ’s determination to be faithful was as obvious as it was utterly invincible, finally and mercifully, it was “finished.”"

I love this section of the talk about how Jesus walked such a long lonely path for us. He experienced not just physical death, but spiritual death as well. When we feel like we are alone and that we can't do it, just remember Christ went through everything.  All of our pains, trails, and hardships. He went through it. He felt everything we have been through. I know Christ loves us and wants us to continue to move forward with faith. He loves us so much. I highly recommended reading this talk.
