Hey y'all 

I know Its been like 4 days but I told my mom I'll write every week! 🤦‍♀️ Ok this will be real short.

It was our last P-day as a district on Thursday and our DL is obsessed with Black Bear Diner. I don't know why, it's honestly mid. He paid so we are chilling. While waiting for our food I introduced them to a game my fam plays while waiting for things called the name game. Usually our family uses texting but as missionaries we can't really messenger an individual missionary, so I tore up pieces of paper and had them write down a name. I told them that no one can put Russel M. Nelson down.🤦‍♀️  It was fun!

We had transfers last Friday so we had to say goodbye to Sister Schaurers. And now our trio is now a duo. It's gonna be ultimate. 

Here's a little back story! Me and Sister Simmons are the Queens of MPL 👑 (member Participating lessons)  We had a lesson with a friend and a member brought us Dutch Bros and she even brought one for our friend and said that we could incorporate it into the lesson and that the Boba could represent the atonement or something. Picture this... it's this 50 year old retired military guy and we gave him this fruity drink with Boba. I definitely think he explored his mouth pallet lol.

Then we had this other member take us out to dinner. He is about 90 years-old and he took us to Black Eyed Peas and he said that this is the closest we will get to a home-cooked meal. Which is very debatable, but he was super sweet and shared war stories the whole time.

We went to go find this less active member in this very sketchy building that smelled horrendous. The stairs were so moldy and I was spraying perfume the whole time lol. We knocked on this door and turns out we read the address wrong but we ended up talking to this lady who seemed very interested, so we set up another time to talk to her. Then we reread the address and it was the door next to hers. Turns out this member does not live there and the people who do are this mother and daughter, Tammy and Tara. We ended up talking to them and set up a time to come back. It was awesome! We found 3 people while we were just trying to find 1 lol.

While walking back we saw this guy and his dog come out from their apartment. Let me just tell you this dog was ratchet. It was foaming at the mouth and had beady little eyes. It's starts sprinting towards Sister Simmons like a little demon dog. I run past it thinking it wouldn't turn around and the dog turns around and starts running towards me. The owner finally gets ahold of his rat dog. They then head outside. Sister Simmons and I head outside to our car when we run into the rat dog again, and when I say rat dog it literally is cause it looks like a really big rat not even a dog. The dog then starts sprinting towards us again, and I jump up on a railing leaving Sister Simmons to fend for herself. She's trying to hit this dog with her bag and it's just trying to bite her. The owner is fearing for his dogs life cause nothing can win over a bag full of 5 Book of Mormons. The owner finally grabs his dog and me and Sister Simmons are shocked in utter disbelief. I look down at her hand and she had her pepper spray read to go. We were dying laughing. Ironically, cause the mission president just talked to all of us that day saying if we need dog spray to tell him. We thought we were chilling so we didn't take him up on that, but now we are second guessing. Now we know if you get attacked by an ankle biter have Sister Simmons as your comp cause she's ready.⚔️

Recent General Conf talks have been released and I read President Russell M.Nelson and this is one my fav parts from it: 

"Nothing will help you more to hold fast to the iron rod than worshipping in the temple as regularly as your circumstances permit. Nothing will protect you more as you encounter the world’s mists of darkness. Nothing will bolster your testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ and His Atonement or help you understand God’s magnificent plan more. Nothing will soothe your spirit more during times of pain. Nothing will open the heavens more. Nothing! The temple is the gateway to the greatest blessings God has in store for each of us."

As a missionary who doesn't have a temple in their mission I'm telling y'all that going to the temple will truly bring you blessings and help you get closer to the Lord. I'm desperately missing the feeling I get when I go to the temple, so if you have a chance, go. 

That's basically it for the four short days!! Hope y'all have the best well!!
