We had P-day which is my fav day of the week, jk I love everyday!😬 On P-day this last week we went bowling and after 5 minutes I realized I'm not that good with out the bumpers.😐 The man there didn't even give me the option🤦‍♀️, so he set me up to fail. It was still super fun. I got some great action shots below!🤭 I then forced the district to go to Whataburger because they have one here in Colorado and I was shocked!😱 Colorado just got 100% better! Guess what... they loved it I told them we are coming before 11 am next time for some HubChubs!! 🏃‍♀️‍➡️😋

We had president comp study which is just President Kotter taking the time to dive deep into the Bible with our zone. He usually invites special guests like the stake presidents in our areas. So we had the stake president join us and I looked up and I see a guy that I knew from BYU, so thats pretty crazy😱. I totally forgot that after I opened my mission call he came up to me and told me he's from Colorado Springs, but what are the odds that I saw him right before he left for the CCM. His dad is the stake president so that's why he joined us for our comp study. He told me if I ever serve where he lives, his parents will hook me up with some bomb dinners so that a plus!🙌

I did a bunch of exchanges this week cause my comp secretly doesn't like me 🥲 jk she's a STL so we gotta do a bunch. I  headed to Ridgeview for the day and it was great. We talked to so many people and this one lady asked if we were walking, and we were like yes🥵. She then says that she has a bunch of sweet tea if we want any. We told her we can't have sweet tea, and she thought we were on drugs for sure.😵‍💫 We talked about the word of wisdom and it was crazy she was agreeing with everything we were saying, and she said that makes sense!! Right then and there she swore to never drink tea! We got a return appointment, so hopefully it goes well.

We had ward council with the ward and we were talking about business as usual.🕴💼 

I guess Colorado as a Moth season which no one told me about. Literally I knock on doors and moths literally fly out and attack me!😱 We had ward council and it was in the Bishop's office so not the biggest room lol, and the moth was literally just flying everywhere. It was so annoying! The funniest part is that this member in our ward stands up trying to catch it, and it just looked so funny ahaha cause he kept missing it lol. 

Our Kenyan friends called us up and it was literally so sad😓.  Emmanuel was training for the Olympics and he broke his ankle while doing hurdles. So Pilista, his mom, called us up worried, so we told them we could bring some people to do a priesthood blessing for him. The elders pulled up 🚗😎 and they were able to do a priesthood blessing for him and it was great, but then Emmanuel literally hopped on the phone right after, so it was kinda of awk😬 for a sec. But then he got off and we were able to talk about what the elders just did.  I thought he would be more sad he can't be in the Olympics this year, but he kept saying it is what it is. That's the mentality I need honestly. When life gives you lemons, make lemonade, right?🍋🤷‍♀️

We had dinner with a member family this week and they were talking about the dad's conversion story. So crazy cause he grew up on a farm where it was just his cousins and family and they did church their own way. But when he met his wife he went to our church and he said it felt very familiar🤔. So they did some family history research and it turns out his family was part of the church wayyyy back but left and started their own church cause they didn't like that it was changing. So he grew up with a lot of the same stuff but a lot of it changed. I thought that was interesting lol.

Most awkward lesson I have ever witnessed😬. We were on exchanges and I was in a different area, but we were meeting with this member in their ward. She likes to meet twice a week cause she wants to expose her great granddaughter (Kylie) to the gospel. This member is determined to have her great granddaughter baptized because she knows that's why she's still alive. There is four generations living in this house and let's just say, it ain't peaceful. We walk in, and it looks like Sister Clark has had a rough day. I guess her granddaughter who is Kylie's mom is being a handful! I didn't quite understand what was happening but Sister Nelson and me had to just smile and wave cause after we taught a lesson, Sister Clark goes off on a rant and her daughter (Kylies grandma) comes in and they are arguing. It felt like eternity sitting on the couch trying to say we had to go, it was so crazy. 🏳️‍🙏

So yesterday, on Sunday, it was a normal morning yk the usual! Wake up at 6:30 plan our day and get ready for 8:30 church! We start heading to church about 7:50 so we could greet people! We were walking into church and someone starts walking out of the church building and drum roll eveyone 🥁 BROOKLYN CALL IS IN COLORADO!!! I could not believe my eyes seeing someone from home.  It was so mind blowing to see her while on the mish and it truly made my day. I got to see her and talk to her for a sec and catch up, it was crazy!! I had to then go back to work cause the grind don't stop, but truly I am grateful that she made a pit stop from traveling from Utah to Texas in good ol' Colorado!! I love her, and forever grateful I got to see her! She's heading to Brazil in September, so I won't see her for about 20 months.  My math prob ain't adding up so bear with me! It was great to see her, the only thing missing was Leah! Lowkey made me emotional, I guess I miss her😭

I wanted to end with a spiritual thought but it's different this time cause its something about my wonderful dad!! The Trent Kimball. A lot of people know how Christlike this man is but I wanted to confirm it. Serving here in Colorado and being around a lot of members who are active and a lot who are not! I have learned a lot of respect for my dad because he truly is a true disciple of Christ and what a priesthood holder should look like. He has taught me so much how to love all people and serve them. My dad is the most service oriented person you can think of, he truly puts others needs in front of his own. My dad's missionary service didn't stop 30 years ago because he is still sharing the gospel. Every opportunity he sees to share the light in his life with someone else, he does. He is my biggest example and I strive to be like him everyday during my missionary service. I'm so grateful everyday that God gave me such wonderful examples of disciples as parents! Love you dad!🫶

Nothing that crazy this week just a lot of Coloradan people complaining that it's above 80 degrees, but I'm loving it 😁
