Now, this is an email you'll wanna READ!! A week I'll never forget.  Y'all I hit halfway today which is insane! Goes by fast when you're having fun🤪

I realized this week that words are not my friends! They don't agree with me cause every time I try to say them, they never come out right! 🙅‍♀️ This has become more apparent on my mission, and I'm not for it. 

On P-day we as a mission, decided to give up a portion of our P-day to dedicate to the Lord. And if you asked my companion, or my district, or even my family, they would tell you how I was not for this idea at all. And I'm not about sacrificing a day where I can just chill. But God humbled me, and I should have seen this coming, cause it's been happening so often, lol. But as we were tracting for two hours straight, and doors being slammed in my face, I just kept thinking about how I could be doing anything else cause it's P-day, but no I'm tracting.  Tracting in the cold thinking this is a waste of time cause no one is ready for the gospel here. This whole time I'm complaining, and being super annoying, then we knock on this door and a man opens it. We then met Daryl, and he took a Book of Mormon, and we set up a time to come back and talk. We had a very awesome interaction, and then Daryl shut the door. I then turned to my companion and tell her we have to say a prayer of gratitude because we (well mostly just me) did not deserve to find Daryl. So we knelt down on the ghetto nasty side walk in our clean dresses and gave thanks to the Lord. I will never forget this amazing experience. There is a loving Father in Heaven who knows us, and this is proof.

This week we had zone training, and that's just when our one zone gets together to hear from the STL's, ZL's and our mission leaders. We got an awesome training from them and we talked about how we can choose joy. I think a lot of people forget that we can choose to react to our circumstances. No matter how difficult the area, or companion, or how boring the district is, we can choose to act a certain way. God gave us this agency for a reason. We can be optimistic and look at the glass half full, or half empty. It was a great zone training. We then played a game and Pres split us into two groups. We played the game Catch Phrase where you have to guess the word your team has, but they can only describe it. I realized that I just literally say any word that comes to my mind when the person describes it. Like my dad would say, "I don't think before I speak", but this time it worked to my advantage, and I got our team very far with our guesses.  Soon it was just me and my comp, and two other companionships of Elders. We lost sadly, but we got 3rd which is a win in my book because we got candy and all the other missionaries didn't, cause they are losers!!👆 Also I got a smiley face pin from an Elder that they call sunshine Perry, so that's a score!! 💀🤣

So Lexi why would you say you're bad with words? Well, let me tell you! The first situation we were on a zone call and everyone is talking about how when the apostle comes we might have a Pentecostal experience, which is a new word in my book. Let me define for those of you who got into BYU first time, cause I had no clue! It's basically when you have a super strong spiritual experience and it's crazy, idk something like that, read Acts 2, you got it! Well, they asked me to pray, and I then said "poltergeist" I literally said, "Please bless that we can all have a poltergeist experience" 👻💀 Hopefully no one had a ghost encounter! 

Ok next story, we were at a members house after zone training and I was telling them how Pres wants us to be positive! But instead of saying optimistic I said autistic💀 so I said, "Well Pres wants all of us to be austisic", and I literally could not remember how to say optimistic. So please, I'll be in my grave until further notice cause that's mega embarrassing! The family was literally in tears cause I could not say optimistic😭 haha!!!

Then the next example it was after Elder Kearon visited the whole mish!! And I was telling the family that we were at for dinner, how he gave us a apocalypse blessing! Y'alll I didn't say apostolic blessing, I said APOCALYPSE!!! I CAN'T!!! HAHAHA!! Well as you can tell I should really be taking my mission language studying seriously cause this can't happen in an English speaking mission ahhah!

So y'all know how people say "White Christmas" well they should really say "White Halloween" here in Colorado! Cause it snowed like crazy that day! Like I'm used to 90 degree Halloween not a freakin blizzard! Everyone pray for me to not freeze and die. Cause I'm not a cold person. Well on Halloween I honestly don't remember what we did! We had dinner at 5:00, cause curfew was at 6:00 and dinner was crazy. It was with my fav family, they have like 8,000 kids but it brings me back to home 🥹,

On Friday we saw my homegirl Diane!!! Who just turned 90, what a queen!! She's been partying too hard! Well, she wanted a duet from me and Sis J! And if any of y'all know me, y'all know I love to sing, I'm just super tone deaf and sooo bad ahah! But I gave her a performance of a life time. I belted a Child's Prayer. Y'all would be proud fr!!

My District Leader is cooler than your district leader!! DL got us all hoodies with our fav scripture on them. We look so sick! Shout out to Elder Harper From Idaho Falls!!🙌

The moment y'all been waiting for!! ELDER KEARON VISITED THE MISH!!!!! Which literally was insane. Like, soooo crazy!! Our mission has like never been all together since the mission leaders got here, so it was insane to see how big the CCSM really is!! But wow I don't think I could describe the feeling it was to be in a room with an apostle of the Lord! I shook his hand which was crazy, and he might or might not have said that I would be a future apostles wife one day. 🤷‍♀️😁 But on a real note, the man he knows how to talk with Spirit. He's hilarious, but soo spiritual. A trait I want to develop so bad!!  He talked about how to thrive on opposition!! We can have the same experience, but a different reaction! He then described how if the saints back in the trekin' days were doing it today there would be helicopters in the sky filming them saying, and I'm quoting exactly what Apostle Kearon said, "Wow look at those mormon refugees making their way to Utah." Elder Kearon then said how there's a difference in refugees and pioneers, and how the saints back then were true pioneers. They called themselves pioneers even though they could have easily called themselves refugees. 

He talked about how the plan of happiness is designed to bring us joy. He talked about how it's choice, and how we can choose to be happy. We have to be the MESSAGE as missionaries and even as members, we have to show that we truly are the Light of Christ, and we are happy to be in His true church! We have to Attack our day!! Ok, that's it, he then preceded to give us an apostolic blessing, and it was the most spiritual experience I have ever had!! I won't go into detail but I wanna end with this, I know that this church is soooooo true. And that we are truly Children of God, which means everyone around us are daughter's and son's of God!! He loves us!! I love this gospel so much!!
