Went from 70° to 40° to quick!! Sandcreek Colorado March 2025 |
So, we had transfers! I mentioned this last week, but Sister B and I are running up another one in Sandcreek!!
We had P-day last week, and I kid you not, we played four hours of Scum. We even did a three-deck Scum, which was crazy! Let’s just say, every time I get king or any high spot, someone happens to have the cards to switch my spot! Definitely rigged, but it’s chill, ig 🧐
Nothing really happened this week! We went to the same food pantry we always go to, did some service there, and the Elders came too. The lady in charge asked us to check her fridge temperatures, which required a lot of math. Let’s just say, college algebra did not prepare me for that at all!

🌞💌🩷🥶😭 Sandcreek Colorado March 2025 |
Y’all, we did something to help our finding tactics! Instead of street contacting from our car, we street contacted by a movie theater in our area! God really blessed us with confidence because we talked to so many people! We did feel a little like stalkers or predators hunting their prey, but hey, it was to serve the Lord, so it was fun! It did feel kinda illegal to be that close to a movie theater on a Friday night, though!
We got a whole new district—one Elder left, and three came in! So now we have three companionships of missionaries: the two sisters and two sets of three Elders. Which is insane—but at least volleyball can now be four on each team, so score! Lol. Please pray for me and Sister B to overcome this trial of having six Elders. We need the gift of patience!

Rip district 2 last bdubs trip!! Sandcreek Colorado March 2025 |
Umm, best thing happened!! This family was like, “Sister Kimball, we have a surprise for you for dinner tonight.” And I’m thinking, Oh no, it’s gonna be something ratchet, and I’m gonna have to force-feed myself. But no, y’all!! We pull up, and they are literally handmaking sushi. Then they say, “Okay, we made Sister Kimball a Texas roll.” And they rolled steak and mashed potatoes into sushi! HAHAHAHA. HOW FUNNY IS THAT?! Literally love them!! Cutest fam too!
Also, y’all, this ward is eating up the fact that I’m from Texas! This old lady was like, “Where are you from?” So, Sister B says southern Utah, and I say Texas. She turns to Sister B and goes, “Ooo, Texas! That’s exotic—way better than Utah! That’s where the real cowboys are at!” I kid you not, this woman immediately starts playing The Dixie Chicks. Iconic.

The Texas roll with the bowl of ranch they made me 💀 Sandcreek Colorado March 2025 |
What’s funny about this is that Sister B is actually FCA, horseback-riding, fishing girl, and everyone still acts like I’m the real cowgirl! I have learned on my mission that people love when someone isn’t from Utah, and you can tell it’s pretty bad. But hey, I’m from Texas, so I’m chillin’!
Y’all, this week was not that eventful—sorry!! But Ryan is still going strong! We’re working with him on the Restoration and Joseph Smith. Please continue praying for him! He came to church, and after taking the sacrament, on volume level 10, he goes, “Wow, this is good because this is my breakfast today.” The entire congregation was looking at him—I could not stop laughing!
Prosper is elect!! Bro is my fave!! I don’t know if I mentioned this before, but I’ll say it again. At Prosper’s lesson, we were teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and he goes, “I just have one question.” I’m thinking it’s gonna be some doctrine or technical question. But no. Bro says, “So how can I get baptized right now?”
Y’ALL. Angels started singing, I swear.
We had to break it to him that he needs to come to church at least three times before baptism. The issue is that he works with a special needs guy every day except Fridays at 1 p.m., which is when we meet. He can’t find another job because he’s technically undocumented. So we’ve been praying and fasting for a miracle to find any way for him to get to church.
ALSO, I NEED TO LEARN PORTUGUESE ASAP! So, calling all my Brazil missionaries—@Maclaine, Brooklyn, Max, Noah, Mason, and more—literally all of y’all. I need some simple phrases to impress—like, super simple—because I realized Portuguese is my weakness. I keep trying to just convert everything they say into Spanish.
Okay, you may be wondering, “Sister Kimball, why do you need to learn Portuguese?”
Well, y’all, they called me as a Portuguese-speaking missionary for my last four months!!
Nah, I’m kidding. That would be tough, lol.
But we are teaching this family from São Paulo, Brazil, and I want to connect with them so badly! They say their English isn’t good, but honestly, it’s definitely better than mine! This fam is elect, y’all. So excited! We talked about Carnaval, so I think I’m in. Haha.

BEST CHAPTER!!💅✨️ My Scriptures March 2025 |
Spiritual Thought:
This comes from Ether 12:4. Ether is probably one of my favorite books.
“Wherefore, whoso believeth in God might with surety hope for a better world, yea, even a place at the right hand of God, which hope cometh of faith, maketh an anchor to the souls of men, which would make them sure and steadfast, always abounding in good works, being led to glorify God.”
Hope is a living gift, a gift that grows as we increase our faith in Jesus Christ. Hope is our confident expectation of the promised blessings of righteousness. We build this substance—the evidence blocks of our faith—through prayer, temple covenants, keeping the commandments, continually feasting on the scriptures and the words of modern-day prophets, taking the sacrament, serving others, and worshipping weekly.
I love the word hope. I’ve been studying it a lot! We have to trust in the Lord, and as we do, we can find peace. I know I have felt that! We need to not only believe in Christ but believe Him.
Love y’all! It got cold again, so I’m praying for sunny days around here! I swear, Colorado is so bipolar.
Xoxo,
Sister Kimball
