 Hey y'all!! Transfers again so that's why P-day is on Tuesday!! I know y'all were worried.

Last P-day was Sister Lewis's last P-day ever cause she's going home!! 😭😭 Her fav Christmas song this year is "I'll be home for Christmas" 💀  For her last P-day we went to Mod Pizza and then went bowling. I suck at bowling, I realized. Literally gutter ball each time. We then went and got some froyo. Birthday cake is forever top tier of flavors, but only in a sample cup!!

If you guess that movie quote we can be friends!! This is Sister Lewis' fav movie quote of all time, "But the children love the books" picture a nun saying it. I have been quoting it all week. Hint it's a Christmas movie!!

We went to a member's house that night and they made us BBQ!! 🤤  If I could I would choose to have BBQ everyday!!!! Their house is all decked out for the most wonderful time of year. And we talked about fav Christmas movies and it was making me miss home, or at least normalcy haha!! Mine favorite Christmas movie is def "Christmas with the Kranks" gotta be my favorite fosho. The member showed us his star wars tree he has in his office and the ornaments like talk and they reenact a whole star wars scene. I think I disappointed him when I said I haven't seen it. 😬 Not my fault, I finally told Clay I would watch it with him and then I guess I asked too many questions so he turned it off. But I'm ngl it was a pretty cool tree.

An Elder in our zone chat bet that, if we as a zone, found 8 people that night to teach, he will drink ketchup milk.  I guess we complained too much that he didn't count the person above so he changed it to 10. So, ofc easily we met the goal, and Cottonwood Creek (my area carried) jk we found one it was the last house on the street we were tracting sooooo.... miracles. But he then said if we get 15 he will add spices to it. So that night he had to drink ketchup milk with all these spices and it was not fun to watch. It def hit him so hard later. The things missionaries will do.

We had dinner with a couple from our ward and they made us chicken in a insta pot. After like 10 minutes of being there I could sense panic in the wife's eyes as she was messing with the insta pot. Turns out the insta pot kidnapped our chicken and held it captive. So we had just pasta. But I wonder if that insta pot ever released our chicken!!!

GOODMORNING VIETNAM 

We had zone training on Thursday. And Pres and Sister Kotter just picked up their son who returned home from his mish the day before from Vietnam, and it made me think of that quote. We had such a good zone training y'all. I lucked out with the best mission leaders!!! We played a game and y'all I didn't even stand a chance. It was like counting game you had to roll the dice and when you get doubles you have to start writing on the paper 1 to 100, and my dyslexia did not stand a chance. I started writing in another language, I swear. I lost which sucks, but sometimes a winner can't win all the time!!

We went to this awesome Nativity put on by the other stake!! My bestie Sister Webb pulled up. Idk if I have explained this or not yet, but Sister Webb is a less active member for about 60 years. Then one day in July her life changed, when I knocked on her door with Sister Arnold my comp at the time. Ever since I have made her meet with us every week. We retaught her all the lessons cause she couldn't remember anything from when she was a kid. She started to read the Book of Mormon, and then surprised us at church.  Sister Webb grew up in the church but at about 18 she strayed away from it, and married a non member.  She's 78 now and recently lost her husband. But I can't wait for the day she is sealed in the temple with him. It's going to be so pure!! 

MIRACLE ON 57TH STREET!!

Y'all Cottonwood Creek is finally popping off with friends!! A member brought two friends yesterday to church and I gave a talk and the lady came up to us just balling how she knows this is for her. We talked about God's love for her and her husband. It was awesome.Ssooooo excited for her to be taught. We then had the Denver missionaries 🤮 jk love them ig but they reached out to us about a guy named Manuel who's mom died a year ago, and the Denver missionary was close to her and wants to do her temple work for her. So we met with Manuel to set up a family tree in the library after church, with a family tree worker cause I have no idea how to do that lol. But it was crazy. The spirit was sooo strong in that room. He was so nice and so willing to learn more about the plan of salvation. Y'all the plan of salvation is true!!!

Gotta remind my self this is temporary!😭❄️ I miss summer!!!

I gave a talk on Sunday cause this ward begged me too!! Soo needy🙄 jk but it was nerve racking idk why. I should be good at public speaking now that I talk to everyone, and their mom, about Jesus. But it's something about the pulpit. The little 12 years-old were passing the sacrament and I swear they overfilled the water tray way to much, cause I was grabbing one and water spilled all over my dress and ofc I'm sitting up on the stand so I looked to see if anyone saw me. Sister Pyne (a member) started quietly laughing cause she saw me definitely spill the water all over my self . Very humbling experience. I said a might prayer for the water to dry before I spoke and the Lord answered my prayer, cause not a drop to be seen . Not even a mouse.

I gave a talk and it was pretty fire, not gonna lie. But I wanted to share some points with y'all from it!! I talked about the light of Christ. Light and darkness cannot occupy the same space at the same time. Light dispels darkness. When light is present, darkness is vanquished and must depart. More importantly, darkness cannot conquer light unless the light is diminished or departs. When Jesus Christ came onto this earth a star was a sign of his brith. Jesus Christ was born so the light increased. When he died light decreased, it was dark for 3 days. That is what Jesus Christ did for us. He is our light!!

He understands you. He heals us. He can bridge the lonely gap between God and man and bring us home if we let Him, if we love Him, if we follow Him. That's why we celebrate, that's why we sing, and that's why He was born. He is the light in a world full of darkness. So this Christmas season be a light to someone else!! Serve someone, help someone, pray for someone!! Y'all got this!!
