What a week!! Honestly it felt so short due to Thanksgiving, so let get to it!! 

So about a week ago this lady from Utah called us looking for some Colorado Springs sister missionary! She then precedes to tell us how her nephew lives close to us and he was a member. She told us how he is excommunicated (meaning his membership got taken away) and she told us she was in the temple and got the strongest feeling to tell us to go and knock his door. She said she hasn't talked to him in like 10 years, but has been praying for him every single day. We told her we would, and we would pretend we are just tracting. So we didn't stop by for a week until we got the strongest impression too, cause you only have one shot of this and we didn't wanna mess it up. So we pulled up to his house and prayed if we should go in. We both got the strongest impression that we should. So we knocked on the door and this guy came out and something was off, and I could tell if this was him. 

We introduced ourselves as the missionaries and he then slammed the door saying no. Feeling really discouraged we started to walk to the car. Then another guy came out running towards us saying "sisters wait!" So we turned around and I knew this is who we were looking for. So he then told us how that's his roommate, and his roommate hates when people knock on the door. (Like why have a door if you don't want people knocking it). Anyways, he told us how he's a member sorta and it's complicated and he told how he served a mission and understands how we feel. We then shared a scripture about how he is a child of God, and that God is very very aware of him. It was so spiritual and crazy cool. He told us how he's not ready yet to come to church, or meet with us, but this was a sign that God knows because he was just thinking about the gospel and then we knocked on his door. This experience has strengthened my testimony that God is aware of each of us.

We had a mission wide comp study with pres on zoom!! But me and my comp were invited to go in person cause we are special like that! 💁‍♀️ We were combing through Genesis 15 and it is so interesting, and we were talking about the temple experience.  Well anyway, after that whole discussion president looked to the stake president who was invited to bear his testimony and then he looked at me and literally said "Sister Kimball would you?" And I said "share my testimony?" 😳 And the whole room laughed, and I honestly was so confused, and not prepared to share my testimony. Lol and he said, "No, to say the prayer." So embarrassed 🤦‍♀️

We did some service for a member, and we were helping her with some organizing and cleaning! She has like 100 kids and none of them were listening to her because they just got a foosball table, and they were very occupied doing that. So she bribed them and said that the sisters would play them in a game of Foosball if they did their chores. So they finished their chores and they were mad smack talking. So I took on the 3 oldest in foosball, and let's say I humbled them real quick. They didn't even see it coming. Yes, I guess they are 5,7, and 8 but that's no excuse. I also introduced them to a mechanic pencil, I felt really cool and knowledgeable.

Thanksgiving with my fav family ever!! So idk if I talked about them yet, but we went to the Luce's for dinner and they just moved here from England in July. So they got here the same time I did. She accidentally signed up for dinner cause the meal calendar was getting passed around and she looked at us and said, "Should I sign up for next week?" and of course I'm like. "yes." She then puts their family name down for Thursday and I was happy, and she asked, "Why are you so happy, and I said, "Cause that's Thanksgiving!" and she said,"Dang it, I forgot!" hahaha it was funny. We usually get one hour for dinners, but for Thanksgiving we were granted two hours. 🙌🙏 

Sister Peck, my comp, is like a secret chef and we made some fire rolls for the dinner. Well when I say "we made", I mean mostly her lol.  They were sooo good tho. I bought a Martinelli, so I contributed. But Sister Luce made my favorite pie and it was sooooo good.  It tasted like heaven haha. We then played some games with their kids for the second hour, well Sister Peck caught trapped into a monopoly game, with their 5 year-old hah!! Def best Thanksgiving on the mission!!! I love this area, I'm never leaving! They are going to have to drag my dead body out if they want me gone. We also played with my camera so you're welcome for all the cute pics of us!!

Time to drop some spiritual knowledge. I was reading a bomb talk the other day. So open quote, "We grow in two ways—removing negative weeds and cultivating positive flowers. The Savior’s grace blesses both parts—if we do our part. First and repeatedly we must uproot the weeds of sin and bad choices. It isn’t enough just to mow the weeds. Yank them out by the roots, repenting fully to satisfy the conditions of mercy. But being forgiven is only part of our growth. We are not just paying a debt. Our purpose is to become celestial beings. So once we’ve cleared our heartland, we must continually plant, weed, and nourish the seeds of divine qualities. And then as our sweat and discipline stretch us to meet His gifts, “the flow’rs of grace appear,” like hope and meekness. Even a tree of life can take root in this heart-garden, bearing fruit so sweet that it lightens all our burdens “through the joy of his Son.” And when the flower of charity blooms here, we will love others with the power of Christ’s own love." Close quote!! 

Sorry that was majorly long but it was just so good!! I love repenting. I do it a lot because I'm not perfect. I know it's shocks y'all but no one is, except Jesus Christ. I love how it says we have to nourish our land after we repent, we have to gain some spiritual knowledge we have to do something about it. We can't just mow the weeds, we have to yank them by the roots.

We also had a Coloradoan debate, if it's that, or Coloradan. But I like the do in the middle ahha

Also I decorated the crappy Christmas tree we has stored in the closet at our apartment, and only some of the lights work. But I still held hands with my my comp and sang "Oh Christmas Tree".  You're welcome for the visual.
