 BONUS ZONE CONF
Colorado Springs, Co
June 2025
Hey y’all!

I hate mosquitos—they are the worst. What is their purpose? I'm dead serious, what’s the point of mosquitos?
I guess June and July are the worst in Sanford 'cause of mosquitos. And guess what months I’m here for? So yay šŸ˜‘ This is my last transfer... I’mma die in Sanford with Sis. Christensen!! āœŒļøšŸ¤

Y’all, on P-day the district pulled up to Sanford!! We played kickball with some youth from the wards and talked—it was probably the funniest P-day ever. The youth definitely dominated us at kickball. My idea was to hit all four bases in one kick 'cause I'm an overachiever, but they always ended up getting me. I know this strategy will work one day.

Zoom in and see me right next to sister and Elder Pingree 😁

June 2025
Okay y’all, we had a bonus zone conference this past week, which was sooo good. We had a Seventy come and do a mission tour—his name is Elder Pingree!! He’s literally so funny!! I’ll talk more about the spiritual thoughts later in my email. But I got to see all, my friends! So fun.

Sooo crazy that at the next zone conference, I have to give my departing testimony—it’s not even funny.
We made the drive to Pueblo, which y’all, I hate with a passion. Driving to Pueblo from the valley is literally awful 'cause of how much the elevation changes. It’s like a rollercoaster, except you don’t know how it's happening.

Okay y’all, literally after zone conference I was having like the worst stomach pains—like, I don’t know what contractions feel like, but I think I know now.

I literally had Sis. Christensen drive us to the city to grab some medication, and the guy there only spoke EspaƱol. So I had to whip out my kindergarten-level Spanish while in pain to ask where the medicine was.
Don’t worry, y’all—we found it. I think it was a one-day thing 'cause the next day I woke up todo bien!!

Y’ALL—ROSIE HAS COMMITTED TO BAPTISM!!
Okay, Rosie is a 14-year-old girl who came to church with her friend. The missionaries have been meeting with her for a while, and me and Sis. Christensen had a strong prompting to extend the invite to be baptized. Y’all—we did, and man, tears were shed. She’s so excited.
MARK Y’ALL’S CALENDARS FOR JUNE 27!! šŸ“…
Literally so pumped!!
She’s in my hometown right now—SAN ANTONIO—for a trip with her mom, and she’ll be gone for a while. She still has to ask her parents for permission, so pray y’all! Please pray she’ll have the courage to do so!!

Yes, I’m an adult 'cause I did an adult thing this week haha!! Finally got our truck’s oil changed, tires rotated, and windshield wiper fixed!! She’s a whole new truck now, ahah!! I felt so good!!
While they were doing that, we walked to the nearest park in the city to do some comp study.
And y’all... there was a ZIP LINE. So y’all already know I was on that!! Literally so fun!

THE DISTRICT
Sanford Colorado
June 2025

So we had a crazy spiritual experience.
This inactive lady in one of our wards—her son just passed away at 22 in a car accident.
We didn’t want to bother her since she had so much family in town and it’s been crazy hectic.
Well, we have this super missionary-minded, Christlike member call us up saying she reached out to Victoria (the inactive member) and told her she wanted to come and bring the sisters with her.
So we pull up, and there were people out the door.
So we sat and talked.

Y’all—at this moment in time, I’m grateful for parents who taught me to be confident and social 'cause the mission throws you into awkward situations.
Anyways, we talked, and her relatives were all there—half are members, and half are Catholic.
The whole time I’m thinking of what verse I should share from the BoM, and I literally couldn’t think of any.
I’ve never experienced this type of loss in my life. But all of a sudden, I’m asking if we could share a message. They say yes.

I start flipping through, and I found the verses 1 Nephi 3:7 and 1 Nephi 4:1.
I call these the ā€œwhy not usā€ verses.
Laman and Lemuel are being a huge pain in the booty at this point, complaining about how Laban is gonna kill them.
But y’all—be honest—sometimes I’m Laman and Lemuel. Like, sometimes that do be me.
Anyways, then Nephi drops this sick one-liner saying:
ā€œFor behold, he is mightier than all the earth, then why not mightier than Laban and his fifty?ā€

Like—sometimes we underestimate God’s power and how He can deliver us.
So I told this to the family—that this is a hard time for them, but I know from the bottom of my heart that God gives us strength.
I’m not gonna lie—I had no idea what to say, but y’all, the words came.
Then I looked to my trainee, and I could just tell how the Spirit was giving her the words to say too, 'cause we both had no idea how to help.
And y’all—this family was in tears. Such an amazing experience.
Oh man, y’all, I love being a missionary. These are experiences that I won’t have again.
But I know God is with us.
Please don’t think you have to get through hard times or trials by yourselves.

Y’all—craziest thing.
We’re at a member’s house. And she runs out and comes back and hands us an envelope—and gives us directions.
So I guess she and her husband are having their third kid, and they decided not to find out the gender.
And y’all—she told us to email her brother-in-law who’s in the Philippines and tell him the gender.
So y’all—small flex—but I knew the gender before anyone in Sanford. Like, no one will know except me, Sister Christensen, and Elder Caldon (who’s in the Philippines) until October haha!!

I think that’s it, y’all!!
Oh wait—can’t skip the spiritual thought!!

Elder Pingree talked a lot about miracles!
He shared these two verses from the Book of Mormon—Mormon 9:20–21:

ā€œBehold, I say unto you, that whoso believeth in Christ, doubting nothing, whatsoever he shall ask the Father in the name of Christ, it shall be granted him; and this promise is unto all, even unto the ends of the earth.ā€

ā€œAnd if there were miracles wrought then, why has God ceased to be a God of miracles and yet be an unchangeable Being? And behold, I say unto you, he changeth not; if so he would cease to be God; and he ceaseth not to be God, and is a God of miracles.ā€

We have a lot of tiny miracles throughout the day, but sometimes we don’t notice them.
I know that our God is a God of miracles.
This area is not a big finding area, which sometimes can be depressing.
But I try to look for the tiny miracles throughout the day.
Like, my companion isn’t weird.
And that I only got two mosquito bites while Sis. Christensen got five.
Or when you see a dog, and it doesn’t bite you.

There are so many more, but I do know that as we look for more tiny miracles throughout the day, we receive more.

Love y’all!!

XOXO,
Sister Kimball
