HEY Y’ALL!!
This week went by hecka fast, so let’s get into it!! Don’t worry y’all—it’s a quick read today!!
Now y’all, the opposition hit us hard this week with sickness, dogs, and stupid mosquitoes. Sister Christensen and I woke up Tuesday morning and things took a turn for the worse—we were dying! It didn’t help that we had service later that day, pulling weeds and working hard, so our noses were on fire. We literally could not breathe and had to cancel on a lot of our favorite appointments with our sweet old ladies. But we didn’t want to be known as the missionaries who killed half the widow population here with our sickness. π
We had to carry toilet paper in each of our bags 'cause it was bad. Then we both took Benadryl and man… we were zonked. After a good ol’ nap, we were ready for some teaching. But for real, being sick is not fun.

Finally, she comes over and I kid you not—she grabs the dog by the ear and tells it to go home. Probably one of the craziest moments on my mission.
Later, we were doing stop-bys and a swarm of mosquitoes surrounded us—literally a daily occurrence for us Sanford Sisters. But y’all, the opposition hits hard in anything that brings good and light.
Okay, there's this movie called Night at the Museum starring Owen Wilson, and if y’all haven’t seen it—put it on the list! Anyway, we were doing service in the Sanford Museum (yes, this small town has its own museum). We were polishing dolls, and I literally convinced myself for a second that they come alive at night and party with the Indian statues in the next cabinet over π Just a random thought I had.

Okay y’all, in our area we have another small, small town—I think like 150 people. We try to get over there once a month 'cause it’s sketchy and far. We told a member that we were going to visit that place to meet people and share the gospel, and she proceeds to tell us that a guy in that town (it’s called La Sauses) was actually found guilty of luring in tourists… then killing them and eating them. So that was a lovely story to hear. Total Jeffrey Dahmer moment. We said a big mighty prayer before knocking on any doors after that π So yay, haha.

Rosie is doing good so far and still on date for June 27th! She hasn’t asked her dad for permission yet, which is stressful. Honestly, Rosie is kind of touch-and-go with wanting to be baptized this June 27th or next June 27th, so we’re just trying to support her. She’s facing a lot of opposition right now, so please pray, y’all!!
Also, my last zone conference is next week—absolutely insane. Like, not okay!!
Father’s Day Spiritual Thought:
Since it was Father’s Day yesterday, imma share something about fathers!
In the Book of Mormon, Alma the Younger, when confronted by the excruciating memory of his sins, “remembered also to have heard [his] father prophesy … concerning the coming of … Jesus Christ, a Son of God, to atone for the sins of the world.”
That brief memory—that personal testimony offered by his father at a time when the father may have felt like nothing was sinking in—not only saved the spiritual life of his son, but changed the future for generations of people in the Book of Mormon.
My dad is probably one of the most converted people I know to the gospel. His example to us as children is forever engraved in us. Watching him throughout the years, and seeing how his motivation to be a better disciple of Christ has never weakened, has taught me so much.
Like my father here on Earth, I know how much he loves me—and that’s a lot—but if that’s how much he loves me, I can’t even comprehend how much my Heavenly Father loves me. The one title God chose to go by is “Father.” Just think about that.
Car selfie are the best!
