This one will be short because I’m honestly so tired haha and I wanna take a nap. But can we talk about how I have emailed every week? Y’all, I feel kinda proud of myself lol.

Anyways, let’s get to it. Had transfers—I think I told y’all—but of course, me and Sister Christensen are staying in Sanford lol. We literally flushed in together, so I kinda guessed it. So this is my last area and last comp, which is literally so sad, but we are grinding hardcore this last transfer. Gonna give Sanford all we got.

Okay, this last P-day was our last P-day as a district before transfers, so we decided to go to this place called Zapata Falls. In my mind, I had heard all about it and how it was frozen, but there was a lack of communication and... the falls were notfrozen haha. I don’t know why we thought it would still be frozen. So we took a little hike to see this waterfall. It was probably the same vibe as Stewart Falls down in Provo lol. But it was fun. Sister Christensen almost fell in, so that was pretty funny.🤦‍♀️

We then played some volleyball at the church and we played K.I.L.L. One of the elders, Elder Asplund, was going hardcore and literally pelting us with the ball.

We have this old man in one of my wards who gives all the sisters nicknames. For Sister Christensen, he called her “Sister Tater Tot,” and for me—he’s given me four—but I told him he has to choose new ones because I didn’t like them haha. The new one he came up with was “Sister Either-Or,” which means I’m the sister that would either be in prison or on a mission haha. I told him I need a new one. He thinks I’m picky, but right now he says I’m “Sister Ornery” haha. All of Sanford calls me Ornery—it’s so funny. Like, I had never even heard that word until this country town. I even got a shoutout in someone’s talk for being the Ornery Sister.🤦‍♀️

The work has been slow here in Sanford, but we have been going hardcore. It’s hard to remember sometimes that you won’t see the fruit of your labors, so I try to remind me and my trainee of that. But the Lord sees our effort, and honestly, I’m okay ending this way—knowing the Lord sees our effort. But y’all, we know we’re putting the effort in, because the dogs out here are vicious. Like, I don’t know why, but dogs have never scared me more. They’re always off-leash trying to get that cake hahaha. Like, literally, I always have my dog spray in hand. Definitely one of Satan’s ways to slow the work.🤦‍♀️

So a member signed up for dinner, and we show up and it’s literally a huge family party... sooo awkward. But we aren’t gonna pass on some burgers. The party was for one of the grandsons who just came home from his mission, so it was chill. But y’all—like, literally—it was perfectly sunny, and everyone was playing corn hole, and then bam, it started pouring and the wind was blowing everything away. It was crazy. Literally looked like a tornado was coming haha. Thought we were going to have to hop in the storm shelter for a sec.

Oh y’all, we were adulting again and headed to the city to finally get our windshield fixed haha. So we dropped the car off and they said it would be about 3 1/2 hours, so we decided to walk to a nearby park and do some comp and personal study. So we did that, and y’all—we didn’t realize how strong the sun was lol. By the end of the day, we were red!! 🍅 Also, tell me why it took them almost 5 hours to replace our windshield. Literally, I was so tired and hungry and just wanted to go back to our area. So we said a prayer and they finally called us haha. Prayer works!!

Oh wait—here’s my spiritual thought!

This is just straight-up facts. Like, I don’t know another way to put it! Oh man y’all, I love the gospel so much!!

Like really y’all, nothing much happened. It was a chill week. Me and Sister Christensen sing God Bless the Broken Road probably every night lol. It’s actually a great way to end the night—it’s fun!!
